I'm not a Klithead btw, I was a Haye fan until last summer...in fact I think most of us arguing with you on the thread are UK boxing fans.

No....why is it "odd" to want to stay active?

(I predict it takes at least 4 posts to get an answer to this)

I'm not a fan of Haye but I don't dislike him. I'm not a fan of Wladimir but I have a great deal of respect for him. His brother, on the other hand, can't hold his jockstrap. Is Haye acting like a primadonna? The guy trains on some island where people go to get laid. I'd say he's just being himself. But I can't understand for the life of me why a fighter in this age would subject himself to 16 weeks of training and two fights with only a week in between. I don't care how tough they are, that is just...out of this world.

This is it I had multiquoted it in the original post but you skipped it..

When have fight negotiations included discussing who each other will fight more than two months prior to the fight?

          Enlighten me..

heres the only issue for me:

At the moment, Wladimir has two fight options.
            fight Chisora in April.
            fight Haye in July.

we cant have both, because Haye is a moron.

so **** Chisora, Wladimir should just say whatever and fight Haye in July.

I saw this question but instead asked you to answer my "original" question, the one you responded to with yours. I can't recall a time when fight negotiations take place and any possible bout beforehand isn't discussed. It almost always is, especially since the notion almost never occurs.
Whats so weird about it? The man needs to stay active..
Maybe. Maybe he wants to pull a Barrera type situation like when he fought Hamed and Hamed agreed that Barrera could have a tuneup prior. But that was because the fight had been signed almost immediately after Barrera beat Valbuena and the tuneup was a full five months before the Hamed showdown. There have been fighters who have taken fights back to back so close but none that I can recall right before the most lucrative bout of your career, especially at this level and in this era.

If Wlad was an active fighter, then this would be the norm for him.

But, Wlad in the last 2 years hasn't really been Henry Armstrong with his activity. So for him to fight twice in short period time is not the norm for him and it makes you questions his true intentions.

I think it is easy to say for Haye, why get upset? Just let it happen. But, then think about it. If he does go through with it. And, somehow Wlad gets injured or cut in the Chisora fight(no matter how good you're this stuff can happen) or then during training camp suffers an injury cuz' of back-to-back training camps. Then where would that leave Haye?

So of course he should and have every right to be upset about Wlad takin this useless pointless fight.

It would be the perfect prep for fighting a Brit! Beat the second best Brit in the division and beat him on home turf then head on the road to take on Haye.

It would be like a going out party!

I see your point but I don't agree with it. Wlad has the better resume and the larger array of belts he should get to say who he fights in April and it shouldn't be dictated by Haye.

Still if it took that much to get the fight on maybe Wlad could consider it, but if I was in his shoes I'd stick to my guns and demand both fights be allowed and the contracts for July get signed.
