Trinidad or Cotto, who was the best all around fighter? And More liked in PR?

From what I was told from a friend of mine who travels back and froth from PR to Miami to NY, the PR people rock for Cotto cause he's still the current guy right now, but Tito is still more beloved mainly because of his personality.

Skill wise, I think both were cut from a different cloth. I think Trinidad is the more dangerous puncher as where Cotto is probably the more well rounded of the two as far as fundamentals go.

Cotto is a better boxer, Trinidad's a better puncher.

Trinidad was bigger in PR than Cotto due to the fact that Cotto is not as charismatic as Tito. Even Juanma is getting HUGE in PR cuz he is a little more charismatic than most.

All being said Cotto is the superstar right now in PR so people will respond no matter what!!

TITO, TITO, TITO!

Tito was the better welterweight.

If they were both in their primes at 147, I'd take Tito by early KO in a somewhat exciting fight.

It's kinda apples to oranges, but here in the island, TiTO is many times bigger than Cotto. Reason being is that Tito comes from very humble beginings, and everything he did, he put PR before it. You always heard TiTo, and still do btw, about being proud and fighting for PR. Always with a flag in hand. And when he came back from fights...jeez, the parades were huge at the airport. Cotto isn't that person, but that doesn't mean he's any less of a warrior loved by the island. He's too quiet and rarely gets people here rowled up. We support him like any other of out fighter...but ya know what?? After Cotto fights, in many households here... we go and put the old Tito fights on DVD... and finish the night like that...

I don't know, Cotto's silent demeanor, and his I will let my fist do all the talking, is more fitting for the Mexican crowd.

I guess its backwards for the Ricans. The more noise the better.
