Go look it up on YouTube. The training vids when he use to wear a bandana shadow boxing and his recent shadow boxing.
Age might have something to do with that. You can also check out his really early fights back when he was still competing in the Phillippines. No blinding handspeed there.

maybe if you are too busy lifting weights instead of doing your usual explosive/boxing training? sure it sacrifices some stamina, but speed?

      explain plz
Just go watch Floyd back at 135, Marquez at 135 using these two fighters for an example. Floyd was fast as ever at the lower weights, now compare him to fighting 154...its a big difference because of the weight. Now look at Marquez a man who is the same size as Manny pacquiao. Marquez couldnt gain 9 lbs from 135 to 144 without looking slugish and bloated....Manny was ripped at 148..smh

Since you are dumb, let me explain.

You have a car, it's pretty fast already, it can do 0-60 MPH in 4.5 Secs, but you want to add some things to it to make it faster.

So you add a turbo, weighs more on your car, but the turbo adds a lot of power and makes the car do 0-60 in 4.2 Secs.

Then this man got paid again, he's bored and has no girl tp spend his money on, so he buys a spoilet for aerodynamics. It weighs abit more but not that much, but creates good down force. Now the car can do 0-60 MPH 4.1 Sec.

Now he gets paid a month later, his car is the best it can be, so he buys some nice leather seats to make it look good. Then he adds a nice speaker and amp at the back. Some DVD players on the head rest, damn it looks good, but he's added weight and now the car goes down to 4.3 Secs.

There's a point where you are at your best, and adding things that look good will slow you down.

how tall are u?? that is also a factor...look at Marquez and Mannys frame, they are not the biggest. 148 to 168 wouldnt be the same on them vs you depending on height...But as a boxer...when you make the weight of 135 and 6 months later u making the welter weight, there should be some decline in speed...

why are u comparing a car to a human body?? Like I said, and i keep saying but you refuse to answer my question..

Manny fought Marquez at 135 correct?? that means he had to weigh in less then 135 or on the button correct?? 6 months later he face oscar at WW correct? That means he had to weigh in less then 147, he weighed at 142 i believe which is 7 lbs difference and it was all muscle....my question is...how do u gain 7 lbs of muscle in 6 monts?? Not to mention he hydrated up to 148 that night...

To gain weight that fast he would've at less lost stamina because he would laid off training a bit to put the weight on, instead he gained 13 lbs from 135-148...and it had no effect on him at all...thats impossible bro...do u know how hard is to gain muscle mass in a year?? Let alone doing boxing, running sparring, jump roping....come on bro

floyd didnt go from 135 to 150 in 6 monts. He been fighting at WW for years and his body settled at 147. He went on 3 lbs from 147 to 150 and he did not carry the weight that well. Floyd was fast as a cat at 135 and everyone knows that. 147 he is a defensive fighter and picks his shots wisely cuz of the weight on him....there is a big difference and if you watch boxing u know what i mean..

Manny went from 135 to 148 in 6monts and didnt lose a step. Marquez went from 135 to 144 and was slow fat ass....

i can't believe you just said that to me

was roy jones not in supreme shape everytime he stepped in the ring at the lower weights? did he suffer when he moved to heavyweight?

david haye was in pretty good shape at crusierweight, he's still pretty ripped, didn't seem to suffer much with performance neither

i really dont kno wht you mean by "supreme condition"

it's usually reccomended that you first get strong and ripped off body exercises prior to picking up weights so as being able to put some mass without losing much speed

not if you do explosive weight training.

It really depends on how you do it as I have put on 20lbs and while actually increasing my speed.
