    ..BOXINGS Biggest Disappointment of 2010...

Personally, what was yours? Was it a fighter you thought highly of? Perhaps one that just sucks and you'd like to call out?

Was it a match that didn't live up? Was it a fight that didn't get made? What was it for you?

Personally, for me, it boils down to three things.

    1. Victor Ortiz. Didn't step up well, again. Didn't lose, but didn't cement anything, either. I've supported the guy and will continue to, but I'd like to see more of him in 2011.

    2. Wladimir Klitschko-David Haye not being made. Just once, can I get a Heavyweight championship bout that really matters? Please?

    3. Shane Mosley being Manny Pacquiao's next opponent. Not the worst, but certainly not the best choice, either. Would have preferred either Mayweather, I guess, or even Marquez or Berto.

    What about you guys?

Maybe this isn't the biggest disappointment but something that bothers me is the complete lack of Top Rank Live english telecasts. I was so hyped for this series and it produced some good fights but it seemed more than half the broadcasts were only on Fox Deportes.

Pacman coming out the closet with his blatant cherrypicking.Ohh yeah & the ring bandwagoning it & giving him fighter of the year over Martinez.

            Valero going really ******

Seeing the question about Ortiz being answered; that despite all that talent he's just a mediocre boxer

The rest of the year went as expected though

              - Victor Ortiz definatley, he was so hyped by most boxing fans even after he got destroyed by maidana to come out of 140lbs division on top.

              - Chad Dawson's dissapoitning loss to jean pascal, he didnt seem to want to win the fight, lets hope he can rectify that and beat pascal in their rematch.

                1. Pac/Floyd not getting made and all the BS that goes with that. Pac/Mosley- [sigh...]
                2. Valero self-destructing..
                3. Poor performances from Devon A. (vs Kotelnik) and Tim B (vs Abregu @ 147)- lost that luster of a mega fight between them, for me anyway. We'll see real soon.

good post except the bold. that was not a poor performance.

abregu was an undefeated contender in a new division and timmy would be a small ass ww.

boxing fans are spoiled these days, now we expect dudes to fight at a higher weight division and just blow everyone out. it's ridiculous. it's not like it was hatton- collazo. it was a clear win for timmy

I agree & their fight hasn't lost any luster. It's still a fight between arguably the 2 best fighters at 140 & it isn't on ppv. These are the fights that fans should support.
