Dzinzuruk is a better fighter than lee. If this goes down I would like to see 2 of the 3 fight each other. Pirog, Golovkin, Sturm. Winner fights martinez winner.
People keep throwing out Pirog and Golovkin as potential opponents for Williams and Martinez, but how about making a Pirog vs Golovkin fight? I think that could be awesome (they are much more exciting than Sturm imo).

As a good competitive matchup I have absolutely no complaints with this one. I'm just a little baffled as to why HBO pushed so hard for it. Dzinziruk's a quality opponent no doubt, but he's virtually unknown outside of Germany, and a win over him isn't likely to increase Martinez's appeal among casual fans. Also, Dzinziruk has the sort of style that can make a lot of fighters look awkward, and if Martinez struggles with him it could kill the momentum he's currently got from the Pavlik and Williams fights. As I said, I have no complaints about the actual matchup, but it does strike me as though Martinez is getting singled out here. Time will tell I guess.

Are you going to enjoy this fight less because casual fans don't know who Dzinziruk is?

Given the circumstances, Martinez-Dzinziruk is a really good fight. With Pirog and Sturm throwing their names into the Martinez lottery, there should be more good fights on tap at 160.

Talk about a high risk low reward, I don't think this was a very good move for Sergio and why would his people let that fight happen I mean Dzinziruk is a damn good fighter , And has a very good jab with a set of skills. He also has pretty good D that could pose problems. He just isn't a big draw, But should be a VERY intertesting fight nevertheless.

Fist he makes Williams look normal in the first fight, then he kills Pavlik's career, and then he makes Williams look like a bum.

Sergio made HBO have second thoughts about showing 2 guys that they had previously tried to push as stars. They need to punish Sergio so they just keep making him fight hard fights while clown as5 Berto gets to fight journeymen and gatekeepers bout after bout.
This is exactly what is happening. Pavlik was the only white-american with any buss and HBO was putting a lot of stocks on P-Will to revive the african-american fan base. Martinez actually just made HBO and TR/Goosen lots of money.
Thats why they are trying to **** him over

Sergei is a tough out, he is very disciplined and works the jab very strong thruout.eventually Martinez will win UD IMO.sergei seems like a recluse though, he has only like 4 in the past 4 years when the march comes up.cotto fight plus Martinez on the same nite can't wait.

The Berto thing is a joke. For some reason Haymon is HBO's daddy and he gets them to do these things. As far as Pac. He's the biggest star in fighting sports, HBO has been with him for 10 years. Why would they ever even think about letting him fight elsewhere right now.
