I like HBO stance, hopefully the do the same thing with Al Haymon's client. Although I don't think Martines-Dzinziruk is a really interesting fight. HBO really needs to stop making promises and just start buying good fights that are presented to them.

Dzinzurik wants to fight C level guys in europe, he has no interest in coming to America just to lose his strap.

I'm confused on Dzinziruk asking for a mil, while his minimum is 750k. I originally thought he wasn't getting his minimum. And, if 2.4mil is what HBO is paying then is real easy for Dzinziruk to get his minimum but now asking for a mil? WTF? However, the 2.4mil is just a rumor hasn't really been confirmed has it?
I don't know why HBO would not add Pirog to the list. Dzinziruk or Pirog or no fight.
And, I do like the stance by HBO. But, it has to be across the board. You just can't single out Cotto and Martinez.
However, I question the ******ity of HBO. Even though Martinez-Dzinziruk is a good fight especially for the hardcore fans not so much the casual fans. Why not take that same stance with Martinez-Pirog? Tell Dibella Pirog or no fight and I think a Martinez-Pirog fight would be cheaper to make cuz' Pirog is begging to go back to HBO, does not have a ridiculous high minimum, So I think it would be cheaper to make, and I think it would be a better more meaningful fight at 160.
If HBO tells Martinez to take a walk, Showtime should jump in and make Martinez-Pirog and it would probably cost them cheaper than 2.4mil.
All I know is that if Martinez doesn't get a TV date, he will not fight. Dibella would not put out any independent PPV out like Arum would.
