s-mart will never get the wifebeater or pac fight. if he wants to be p4p #1 he'll have to move up to 168 lbs.

The pound for pound thing is all a perception. Mayweather and Pac may be viewed as the best today, then tomorrow that view changes if Sergio beats another elite fighter. As far I'm concerned Sergio put in work this year and is the best fighter in the world...in my opinion.

with wifebeater on extended hiatus and pac without worthy challenges at WW, if martinez can beat sturm at 160 lbs, dzinzurik and cotto at 154, and beat bute or the winner of the super six, he'll be p4p #1 in atleast 2 years.

Dude, he's 35yo, and in the last 12 months has put together a Fighter of the Year type resume' with three fights against top opposition. If he can't get a money fight right now, then fair enough.

He's just taking a stay-busy fight, like Manny's been doing for the last 3 years.

900 dollars is a lot for a poor man who boxes.

I was thinking the other day that some sports stars don't get paid much at all, but then thought that there are people who do small events that must get paid very little, but they also get to train and do what they love.

There are lots of people who pay to go gym, MMA and boxing gyms. If they get to fight and make money, then why not?

Obviously Martinez has become a big boy and his money will come.

Who doesn't see the $$$ signs? Obviously Martinez does not deserve a payday but Margarito did hmmm? O yeah he got his shot at Pac by getting KO'd and beating that Robert Garcia guy...What a ****** post little bøøger, run along and go play.

Martinez beat the lineal middleweight champ, and rematched a guy who had a dodgy decision over him - and Manny will not do either of those things, he won't even fight a genuine JMW.

It is a joke that ol man Mosley is Manny's best opposition since Marquez II.

                  Ya funny little kid.

you mean The deflated title holder alex bunema? Paul did win the first fight while martinez was just running. old man mosley is a joke so r Morales, manny beats hatton/clottey/cotto/margarito which nobody want to fight them. Oh i forgot he did outclassed pavlik which got schooled by a 44 years old man.

                    ya funny little smuck.

Whats crazy is how Margarito made more in one fight against Pacquiao than Martinez has made in his entire career. No wonder he doesnt want to fight someone his own size when he can fight a welterweight. This would be like Pacquiao calling out Calderon.
