Paul "Take Punishment" williams is DONE...Career over..

Paul Williams Career was ended in Atlantic City when he fought Sergrio Martinez in their second meeting. Paul took a devasting blow to the dome that sent him head fist, kissing the canvas like he was in love. Fighters who get ko in that fashion are never the same, mentally or physically. Something gets loose in a mans head after getting ko like that. The slightest punch will put Williams on shaky legs. A fighter can probably thump Williams on the head and ko him after that blow he took. Although it sounds funny its a serious Matter. If I was Al Haymon i'd advise Paul to take sometime off from the sport to regroup and rest a while. And above all....STAY AWAY FROM MARTINEZ.

On a serious note Paul should retire because his brain will never recovcer fully from that blow. If he is ****** enough to come back, it shouldnt be in 2011 IMO....

    You don't know Paul Williams

Many fighters who've gotten KO'd brutally have come back. It's up to them to decide what's best for them. I still think P.Will could beat most 154lbers, and most middleweights (maybe not martinez and pavlik) , but middleweight isn't his weight class

Best recent example - Khan who got taken out by Prescott in 1 minute. Prescott KO loss ---> Kotelnik ---> Malignaggi ---> Maidana

Stick to being a PED expert

Paul has a better chance of fighting again than your idol Mayweather.

Do you know Paul Williams personally??? It's a good thing that we have some internet neurologist wannabes here on BS who can tell us exactly what's going on with our favorite boxers, and what's best for them to do.

According to people I trust more than anonymous interweb posters the KO Paul Williams suffered is less harmful than continuous punishment fighters like Michael Katsidis and Rafael Marquez take.

Well I guess Roy Jones, Ricky hatton, and Jermaine Tylor took a lot of punishment in their careers????

i agree that he should take a long vacation but i think he should still fight in 2011. and he should decide on a division and just stick to it and stop flip flopping around.
