    Why did Floyd self destruct?

The money? fame? did he feel his accomplishments were not appretiated?

Or was it a case of boxing being forced upon him at such an early age and now rebelling?

    Thougts?

I think its the pressure from the media and the fans to face Manny.

Seeing that this is his third time a women has said Floyd hit her in the last ten years, I say he is not all the sudden self destructing, he just gets caught up in dumb stuff.

He's just not a very smart guy. He could have done so much more with his fame and talent, but unfortunately he obviously has a brain the size of a pea.

I guess you can attribute some of his flaws to the people around him during his upbringing, but no-one teaches you to beat women. That's just what scumbags do.

I'll miss him as a boxer, but a spell in the clink won't hurt him at all.

His upbringing, lack of an education, and his knowledge that 99% of all fans think he is a coward are my guesses.

He've in the boxing for a long time, but I can't see that passion inside him for this sport which I could find in old fighters like Hopkins, Mosley. I mean, those old guys always spend their time in gyms, in boxing events, I do always see Mosley sitting at ringside in many big fights. Mayweather earned more money than those boxers, has a huge fame. I could see him getting tired of boxing, he would spend his time in casinos, parties etc. I don't see any other logic behind the retirement after De La Hoya fight.

I'm guessing it's because he doesn't surround himself with people who can influence him positively.
