I'd be more disappointed if he didn't want it. Boxing is a sport for men, and obviously he has guts if he wants to get back in there after what happened. I am going to need to see my boy PW fight someone else first. He needs a tune up fight against someone easy to get some confidence back. He also needs a new trainer. He is young enough and talented enough that he can come back from this, but it's a really bad setback.

I'd Floyd all the props in the world if he beat PWill but let's face it, Floyd will NOT fight PWill. Floyd doesn't want to fight. Doesn't care about his legacy. He cares about money and money only.
When he's broke he'll come back and he'll fight whoever can give him the highest paycheck at the least risk to his "0" period and that isn't PWill.
Unrealistic IMO, but what if Floyd came back to fight PWILL since Pac/Arum (shockingly) signed with a quickness to fight the goldenless "splenda" Shane Mosley....
Mayweather fighting PWILL would be no different than Pac fighting Hoya, Hatton, Cotto, Clottey, Margarito and now Mosley.
A fighter coming off a loss, got KO'ed, didn't look good at all in there last fight(s) etc.
I would rather Floyd fight Martinez if he came back but what would everyone say to Floyd if he fought Pwill now?Comment

Right on! But i think Martinez is just better fighter and more experienced.Comment

That's Team Williams ego talking. In a rematch, same outcome.
Martinez has Paul's # and it would be a disaster for Williams career
when Martinez lays his ass out again. I respect that he wants
another go at Martinez but no one has recovered from the KO
Williams took. Paul has to be still feeling that one.Comment

Come on man. We all know that Martinez won that first fight as well.THats a fighters heart...you should want to fight the man that beat you...and Martinez should fight him again, the first fight was close and to prove that it wasn't a "lucky" punch then do it again...unless he has a bigger fight out there (and when I say bigger I mean more money)....
Sergio just let everyone know that he is better than PWill by taking
his head off. First time both had lil time to train for each other.
2nd time around, we all see what it do and Williams can't hang.
Respect for wanting the fight but I mainly think these guys are
living in denial. It took HBO to beef to make Williams fight Martinez
in a rematch and now after getting his head knocked off he wants
another fight?Comment

agreed. but really the first fight was a real toss up. it was that close. paul should stick to 154. id guess if he wanted the rematch he'd still ask for some bs catchweight. he got caught clean. but i also think he could use a new trainer. he's always had a granite chin, but every chin can crack. dude has no defense and doesnt hit hard enough to make someone w/ a decent chin think twice about rushing in.Comment

Props to PW for wanting another crack, but LdB has given Paul much better advice than he has received from his own Team.....I'd be more disappointed if he didn't want it. Boxing is a sport for men, and obviously he has guts if he wants to get back in there after what happened. I am going to need to see my boy PW fight someone else first. He needs a tune up fight against someone easy to get some confidence back. He also needs a new trainer. * that was not a lucky punch, go fix your D
* a poor idea to jump straight into a rematch with a puncher like SergioComment
