Carl Froch, and a few posters on here will be surprised by Johnson's furious, relentless, intelligent pressure. Johnson will surprise many with his speed in this fight as well. At 168 Glen looks fresh, hungry and undeniably the same form that won him "Fighter of the Year"

Along with this the style matchup almost screams "Johnson KO"

Froch's low lazy left combined with Johnson's pressure, sneaky fast and powerful right hand will almost certainly leave Carl Froch looking like the man to your left..

Johnson is a really good fighter and will be one of Froch's toughest fights... maybe his toughest but Froch is way better than Allen Green so don't get too excited. Around 70% of posters were saying Abraham would take Froch's head off as well....

Also, Johnson hurt and KOed Green with rabbit punches.

Im not a big fan of Carl Froch.

But I like Froch on a decision in this fight.

If Glen wins, I would speculate its by decision.

Close fight, I do think it goes the distance probably with Froch winning 116-112.

See you're paying too much attention to the opponent as opposed to how well Johnson actually performed..With your post you also make a silly comparison to Abraham.

Andre Dirrell ruined Arthur Abraham. When an unbeaten, professional fighter, former champion gets so thoroughly outclassed, knocked down for the first time in his career and just can't seem to hit Dirrell no matter how hard he tried.
Dirrell's performance of boxing wizardry ****ed AA mentally to the point where he would never be the same. The epic level of frustration AA reached was apparent from the second round. I've watched boxing for over 20 years and have never seen a fighter so visibly outclassed and frustrated. AA would never be the same.

            LOL. Really?
Are you blind? They were clearly on the side of the head on the ear. That's a legal punch. Not sure how any sane man after watching the replay could call that a rabbit punch.

This has to be one of the dumbest posts I've ever read. I actually just watched the fight again and it was a good performance by Glen but not exactly the best ever. He basically KOed Green after around 4 good right hands and his pressure wasn't exactly that awesome to be honest.

I mentioned Abraham because a lot of people thought he would devastate Froch but Carl boxed smart and was too good for Abraham. Also, your assessment of the Dirrell-Abraham fight is ridiculous. Dirrell wasn't really landing that hard on Abraham and was getting caught a fair amount himself. He was having hard right hands bouncing off his noggin as early as round 3 that was sending him across the ring. Abraham then legitimately sent Dirrell flying across the ring and badly hurt him in round 9, even though it was somehow ruled a slip. The fight was getting much closer towards the end and the momentum was clearly in Abraham's favour to land some devastating blows. Anyway, good performance by Dirrell sure but I wouldn't have said it was career ruining wizardry... especially since Abraham was never really hurt... also, it's a shame Dirrell got KOed in his best win....

Round 3 was a rabbit punch but yer... The KD shot was legal... sure, I just rewatched it - Green turned his head.

My assessment on Dirrell-Abraham is spot on. How it ended was indeed a shame. Do yourself a favor and rewatch the fight. I'm sure you'll agree. It was clear from the second round that Dirrell had figured out Abraham. From that point watching Dirrell "bait and trap" AA with lightening fast counters repeatedly was something I'm glad I've witnessed as a fan of the sport. AA just couldn't hit him. On average AA probably landed 1-2 meaningful punches per round. As for Dirrell it was a display that showed he finally believed in himself and his ability. He's a credit to the sport and I hope he returns with some success.

                  Back to the thread topic.

Along with the valid points I've made about Glen, I've got a feeling that Carl will take him too lightly..Obviously he is if he thinks he can beat Glen Johnson with a jab....As if Glen Johnson is a mentally dejected midget named Arthur Abraham. Carl is in for a shock.

On a side note, after stopping Carl Froch, Johnson will move on to beat Andre Ward, winning the tournament, unifiying the WBA and WBC titles, then he will retire.

I also would not be surprised if he stopped Ward, who I think is the most overrated shampion in the sport.
Allan Green isn't Carl Froch, I'll just leave it at that.

I agree. It just takes Glen another round or two.
In all honesty I think the style matchup makes this an EASIER fight for Glen than the Green fight.

It shouldn't be ignored that despite the fact that it was Allen Green, Green had tons of experience sparring Johnson. Knowing exactly what to expect Green still got starched.
