Why do people think a pure boxer like Mayweather, can't lose?

There are countless times when BOXERS lost.
I don't know why people say they never lose.

Because some pure boxers are just unbeatable because of their skill level.

Floyd Mayweather Jr and Ricardo Lopez are two examples.

Being a Technical Boxer is just the style..... Its not the style its the user of the style.....

Bruce Lee would tell you that...

You see what happened to Calderon? I think the same will happen to Mayweather if he faces Pacquiao or Martinez.

I like Mayweather and he's probably the most skilled boxer ever but he has to prove himself more.

to ascend to the level of champion or title holder, often athleticism and excellent conditioning is all that's needed to succeed.

to ascend to the elite level or in the upper echelons of the sport, you're going to need a little bit more, hence those with good fundamentals/smarts and skill remain to the top

It has more to do with careful selection of opponents than style IMO.

15 world champions he's beaten. That's more than Pacroid. Dude has proved himself. He just did it so easily that alot of people failed to recognise it. Pacroid has absolutley no chance of beating Mayweather. Floyd is just too skilled. If the fight ever happens it will be a mismatch because of the skills. But it will never happen because Pacquiao will never agree to full, random, olympic style drug testing with no cut-off. Without the PED's he has no chance, and his team know it.
