I don't like when people say Mayweather will destroy Pacquiao because of what Marquez did to him. For this reason alone: Marquez is a counter-puncher by nature, but he can and will take a shot if he has to. He'd prefer not to, though, and would rather his technique carry the day. He ate a lot of Pacquiao's shots and he countered in the midst of that. Kudos. But it wasn't enough to win.
Erik Morales. This guy was practically a masochist in the ring. He ate shots from everybody he fought, and it looked like he enjoyed it. And honestly, as bizarre as it may sound (and it could very well be the scotch talking), I think that's what you have to do to beat Pacquiao. You have to be willing to eat his best combinations and maintain your composure enough to fire one back when his is over. A better one. Not many people can do that. I think Morales was the perfect combination of balls, chin, and technique. And it worked.
Mayweather isn't your traditional Mexican fighter. He doesn't want to get hit. If he just absolutely stonewalled Pacquiao with technique, I would be pretty surprised, but would praise the win significantly. But if Pacquiao shows he's going to make it a tough night, I'd say he's already won.
Very interesting and unbiased post (rare on boxingscene)
one dimensional style = lots of power in both hands, the fastest combo in the business, great hand speed, great footwork. so Manny is the only one dimensional fighter in the boxing world if that is really the definition you are looking for.
hater should accept the fact that Pac is a freak of nature. Pac beat Floyd. Floyd wouldnt get enough points if he fight defensively. if he fight Pac the way he did against Mosley, Floyd would go down inside the 6 rounds..
shows how much you know. its foot work is far from great. its decent at best. good against the stationary losers hes been fighting through
if i keep reading these types of replies, im gonna fall asleep and miss the countdown
I'm not here to crank out witty posts in the hopes that you won't think I'm "shot" on a boxing forum.
What I am here to do is point out that Pac ducked JMM and Martinez to fight Shane Mosley which is a pretty significant development to everyone outside of pacland.

the momment pac takes those test. hes done for
You're a ******ed *****, but in this case you're right.
Anyone's footwork can look great when they're hitting a punching bag. I'm sure even Makavelli could look like Ray Leonard if he was hitting a heavy bag.
