Comments Thread For: Erdei vs Campillo Clash For The Vacant WBA Title?

The news hit last week that Gabriel Campillo (20-3, 7 KOs) withdrew from his fight with Thierry Karl, which was scheduled for the vacant EBU light heavyweight title on January 22 in Levallois, France. Sources in Spain have advised BoxingScene.com that Campillo will likely be involved in a fight for the WBA's vacant "regular" title at 175-pounds.

      Erdei will school Campillo.

Zsolt has more boxing ability in his little finger than that chump Shumenov.

Oh I will make a bet on it. I didn't duck a Khan Maidana bet, you did by wanting 1-1 odds when everyone else was offering 3-1.

I'm not making one with an asswipe like yourself. Anyone else who reads this I will put up to 10 Mill on Zsolt.

There will plenty of respectable posters who will want to put points on Campillo.

I said an all in bet, and I had more points than you and by a good margin too...

So it was not a 1-1 bet.

But, yea that is what I thought.

Silly that Shumenov would be considered a "super champion" after one title defense. All "super champion" means (see: Sturm, John) is that they don't have to fight mandatories. So if Shumenov beats Braehmer, he can avoid losing to Campillo for a third time.

Re: Campillo-Erdei. Before anyone makes a bet, I'd wait to find out where this fight is held. Promoters in Madrid haven't been willing to come up with the money to give Campillo hometown advantage in any of his big fights, so this is going to be in Germany. Erdei isn't going to lose a decision in Germany

I think if it happens it will end up in the USA.

Erdei is with DiBella now and Campillo obviously has shown a willingness to travel.

Plus Campillo doesn't have to worry so much about the funny business as he did with Shumenov who lives in Las Vegas and promotes his own fights.

lol I broke this news in Hitman's thread yesterday, I was already advised of it. Good chance as Hitman says that it'll be in America, on the Martinez undercard in fact.
