The Olympics require those tests. Boxing doesn't at the moment. Why is Floyd trying to change the rules for this one particular fighter? He wasn't this scared of anyone like this before? Usually he just ducks the best welterweights out there. Now he's demanding unwarranted OST's against a bloated lightweight.
Same goes adding catchweights, weight penalties, etc. If you have it in the contract, then I see nothing wrong with wanting OST's.

Mayweather would get the same treatment if he fought Pacquiao's leftovers, past prime fighters like Marquez for example, and he isn't that far off either, who by the way beat Pacquiao twice.

OST's are much more drastic. Catch weights and weight penalties are nothing new in boxing and have been around for ages. Anyway, with regards to the penalties Floyd could always pay up and weigh-in above the contracted weight like he did against another bloated lightweight Marquez. After all, he's supposed to have the money, right?

Clearly, there ain't gonna be a catch weight in this one, even if clearly Floyd is the bigger dude.

Now before you *****s respond with "Oscar was a weight drained zombie" crap keep in mind these writers/analyst were basing their predictions from what they see on paper...

No fighter is guaranteed a win unless they actually get in the ring and fight..

Sure the Zero losses column gives Floyd the thumbs up to beat Pac, but it aint guaranteed until Floyd gets in the ring with Pacman..
In the Hoya fight, Manny was the red-hot favorite according to Freddie.....
" Oscar can't pull the trigger..... he will be weak at 147..... we got him ".

you don't get what he's saying. he's saying that wifebeater has to actually get in the ring and fight to get credit for beating someone.

in other words, wifebeater can't get credit for winning fantasy fights.

                  Don't be absurd.

Originally catch-weight's were used to legitimise exhibition match's, and nothing more..... they are a fkn joke, and should never involve a title fight.

Yes, including Ray's LHW title, and any other circus bout that you bring up.

OST's are a sign of the times, and mandatory in EVERY top Amateur sport, including boxing..... and it's been that way since the dirty Olympics.

There is no valid reason whatsoever to refuse/avoid/obstruct OST's.

The 6 excuses that Team Pacquiao provided were an absolute joke.

Which one did you believe Jose ?

However biased towards Pacroid, this forum is truly obsessed with Floyd Mayweather Jr. The guy hasnt fought in 7 months, has no fight scheduled and the top 4 posts on the forum are all dedicated to him.

There wasn't any valid reason to demand those unsanctioned tests against Pac to begin with. I wouldn't consider a wild unproven claim by ex-con Floyd Sr. as a valid reason to change the rules just because he made himself look like a "joke coach" in Hatton's corner. That's what started all these ****** roids talk that every Floyd fan picked up on to defend his vacationing ass.

If it's indeed the signs of the times in the professional level, then that's up to the powers that be to keep up with the times and start officially demanding ALL boxers to submit to pre-fight random OST's, and not crucify one fighter on the whim and hangups of a prima donna acting boxer and his disfunctional family who's done nothing lately but make themselves a disgrace.

Floyd should just write his signature on the dotted line and and it's gonna happen.
