i think barrera beats him still, he had great technique he wasn't the fastest or the slickest fighter but his timing was perfect, picked his spots attacked well with combinations watchin barrera at his best was fun, u could just see him studyin his opponent and usin his good jab early then attackin to the body nd head

You can't be as quick when you can hardly train.

I respect MAB a lot. But regardless of the opposition Naz fought between 95-98, that was when he was at his best with Brendan Ingle as his trainer.

Would MAB of still beaten Naz during that period? Yes he may well of done. But, in my opinion and it is only my opinion, the Prince would of given him a much tougher night.

The actual fight in 2001 was not an embarassment either like has been stated. Losing approx 8 rounds to 4 to an ATG prime Barrera is NOT an embarassment.

Its pretty sad that some people are suggesting that Hamed did not train hard
even though this is what Hamed wanted I remember he said that first Barrera than Morales this homie looked like an ameuter in there or maybe he was trying to clown around and Barrera made him look pretty ****** in there what ever the reason Barrera won no doubt plus Barrera had 3 loses Junior Jones x2and Morales coming in to this fight and your excuses are that his didnt train hard enough that pretty lame that was Prime Hamed accepted or not but that was and Barrera well he had to change from a puncher to boxer becuase of the loses to Jones and Morales Hamed had no huevos to come back
he took the bit-ch way out and retired if he was sooo good he could of rebounded like Barrera Morales Marquez hell like everyone has done oh and Barrera and Hamed are the same age they were born in 1974 and Barrera started in 1989 and Hamed in 1992 Prime vs Prime Barrera wins and Stewart is one of the best trainers so let it go bro

I honestly believe that a motivated, confident and injury-free Naz could of beaten anyone.

The reason why Barrera supposedly beat him so handily was because of a number of reasons.

-He had previously split with his trainer who was fundamental to Naz's success
-Naz had become complacent with his power
-He had gotten lazy due to the money and fame and hardly trained for the fight
                  -Had suffered from hand problems
-Hated being away from his family for so long

To say that Naz only fought bums is idiocy. By the time he was 25 he had beaten every featherweight world title holder. The only reason he ever got dropped was because of his unorthodox style and his "exposing" by the hands of mab was hardly an exposing at all seeing as 2 judges had the fight 115-112.
