Wow, not ONE post about Martinez trying to schedule a catchweight fight? Personally, I could care less but people have been in an uproar about Pacquiao and Floyd Jr. over doing a catchweight fight however there isn't one post here mentioning that at all...

I think the plan has always been Martinez in the fall of 2011.

If Cotto beats Mayorga and Margarito...then that's the fight that will take place.

If Martinez was to get on the undercard of that fight....more than likely it would be against Andy Lee.

didn't martinez/lee fall through already? im not sure where i heard it, but i read somewhere that fight was trying to be made. idk i think martinez should fight whoever in march and then go after cotto or pirog for his next fight. if cotto doesnt happen, which probably wont, because TR and GBP arent really getting along and arum might want to keep cotto safe for a pac rematch, avenging his loss or draw against margo or cintron wouldnt be that bad. martinez has a large selection of names to fight, hopefully his people choose wisely.....

Because everyone knows Bob calls the shots and it doesnt matter what Martinez wants. Another words it wont happen or at least not at "155".

I think Bob has Cotto locked with Margarito II and then Pac II (assuming Cotto beats Margarito).

how come Sergio's fighting smaller guys this time? I don't hate the man but a guy with his skill should fight guys bigger than himself. Fight Pirog or Bute.
On flip side I think Cotto has a big chance to win.

While I agree that would be a good fight, wouldn't some poster just dog bute for fighting a smaller guy? When will it stop

If the fight gets made at 154 I have no problem with it. Any higher is to much. Cotto is a small ass jmw already.

Cotto's stock is **** right now unfortunately. He didnt look good vs Clottey but he had one eye, still fought w/ that crazy cut...and Pac whooped him out...no shame hes #1...

Foreman lost a leg halfway through the fight so no one gives Cotto credit for the way he outboxed his ass the entire fight before that...and big whoop, he got wobbled by a punch - anybody can wobble anybody...if it happens to a Cotto or a Juanma people automatically bash em for it.

Cotto is a better boxer than Martinez straight up and down. Hes smaller, slower, and weaker...but wait...wasn't Mosley faster, stronger, bigger, than Cotto? All I'm saying is don't count Cotto out this fight, it wont be easy but its winnable.
