      History lesson for you:

      Corbett 26 sullivan 33

      Johnson 32 Jeffries 35

      WIllard 33 Johnson 37

      Dempsey 24 Willard 37

      Marciano 28 Louis 37

      Ali 22 Liston 35

      Holmes 31 ALi 38

      Tyson 22 Holmes 38

      Vitali 31 Lennox 37

^^^Google the above fights and you will find that the younger ATG ALWAYS beats the elder ATG...all except in one case....Why did Klitschko get his face caved in when all the other young ATGs barely got a scratch?

Either Vitali isnt an ATG or Lennox is just that damn good. You be the judge..

He was ready to go after Lewis right after... so i'm not buying that gift of a w... If L;ewis fans are satisfied with that type of victory despite knowing there fighter got his ass handed to him then that's on them.
It was not a lottery punch. Emanuel Steward instructed Lewis to DOG him, and thats exactly what LL did. Here is the punch that busted Vitali's eye open. It is the most deliberate punches you will ever see and it was beautifully set up.

Funny.. how a 5 to 6 yr gap is a major difference.. How many of those alltime greats that lost were coming off 2 devestating wins over former champs right before? Seems to me Lewis was at his best..coming off 2 of his best wins. You claim rustiness as well.. afterall Lewis didn;t fight for more than a year,, Now let's fast forward to Vitali AT SAME STAGE of age... just short of a 4 yr layoff & on top of his game taking care of a youthful Peter with no excuse of aGE or rustiness. I guess Vitali IS JUST more dominant WHEN AT the same age lewis is on his way out..out of shape winning on cuts..promising rematches but when HE Witnessed what Vitali DID to the dude that he replaced on 10 day notice to fight LEWis... it was a wrap.. He did NOT WANT any part of Vitali WHO NEARLY knocked him out in the same RD.. wise move Lennox!

            Vitali Klitschko vs Lennox Lewis

            THE TRUTH

Vitali took the fight on just 10 days notice.

Vitali was clearly winning the fight 4-2 on all 3 scorecards at the time of the controversial doctor stoppage. Lewis was badly hurt and was staggering around the ring like a drunk, he barely survived the 2nd round. Lewis was getting outboxed, outworked, outlanded and was hurt several times in the fight.

            punches landed

            Vitali 156

            Lewis 102

Lewis was exhausted, worn down and hurt from the accumulation of punches and was ready to get KTFO again, he collapsed onto his stool at the end of the 6th round, Vitali was clearly the fresher of the two, he was a man on a mission and would've KO'd Lewis for sure if the fight had continued.

All the fans at Staples Center cheered for Vitali and booed Lewis after the fight.

            Lewis promised Vitali a rematch.

Vitali destroyed Kirk Johnson in 2 rounds and called out Lewis again in the post fight interview. The scared Lewis retired shortly after that fight.

Lewis turned down 30 million dollars for a rematch and retired like a coward because he knew he would get destroyed by Vitali.

Vitali dominated Lewis and scared his bitch ass into retirement.

George Foreman: "Vitali was winning the fight. Lewis got lucky. There has to be a rematch!"

Jim Lampley: "A lucky escape for Lewis who was clearly losing the fight"

Even Emanuel Steward was upset and pissed off at Lewis for blatantly ducking a Vitali rematch.

Lewis is scared to death of Vitali.

So are you saying that Sam Peter is on the same level that Vitali and Lennox were? I specifically said Young ATG vs OLD ATG Peter is a D class fighter who barely beat Maskaev.

Lennox had defeated everyone he ever faced by 2004 and had no reason to really continue on. Vitali has every reason to continue on because he failed in his PRIME when it mattered most. He failed where every other young atg succeeded..Marciano beats old Louis, Holmes beats old Ali but Vitali couldnt handle old Lennox..

Its embarassing really....he is the only one who failed

How can you start your post with "THE TRUTH" then state that the stoppage was controversial? You didn't have to be a doctor to know that the fight was stopped correctly. That eye looked ugly.

Oh, by the way, Lewis also took the fight on just 10 days notice.

The punch in question was the very first punch Lennox threw in the 3rd rd. Vitali Had Lennox out on his feet a minute prior & did NOT expect an aggressive Lewis to come out at him like.. as a result he didn't put himself in position to defend or brace for the punch.

This was Vitali's inexperience at play. He EXPECTED A lackadasical Lennox to come out for the third & yes Steward did instruct for Lennox to make it a dogfight because Steward knew Lennox was about to get knockedout if he kept fighting in the same manner. With that being said.... the punch was not lucky at all..where it landed & how it cut Vitali was pure luck..i'm sure LENNOX didn't throw it expecting to cut Vitali...he threw it to hurt him..he'd be one hell of a forecaster if he just said this punch will cut VITALI... tHE punch was a quality one thaT didn't hurt Vitali whatsoever... it JUST created a cut & was,,

It was MORE VK being caught off guard..with that being said.. Vitali kept on fighting..kept on outlanding & throwing more punches than Lewis in every rd including the 6th WHEN he was holding onto Lennox after caught him with a punch from the blindside on the side of the head with 10 seconds to go.. No shame in that..esp when that punch was not in his lone of vision.. He kept taking the combos Lennox was throwing until the end. Lennox expended alot of energy to try to take him out at the end of the fight & that's why he was exhausted,,he couldn;t do it & it was anyone;s fight in the 7th.. they were both equally finished with LENNOX having the advantage of clear vision.. Vitali WAS not going to be Knocked out or denied in that fight..unfortunately the dr,, didn;t let it go one more round as Vitali WAS 3 minutes away from a clearcut decision after the 7th rd..

They could've repeated any one of the 6 rds they fought in the 7th & It would've been Vitali with his hands raised. Victory snatched from Vitali BECAUSE HE WASN'T allowed to continue for 3 more minutes & you guys want to tell me Lennox won fair & square. What kind of a VICTORY is it when you would've clearly lost if the fight was allowed to play out for 3 more minutes. 1 rd is what separated a Vitali WIN FROM A LENNOX win & the cut was the same for the last 2 rds. Vitali should've been afforded that chance.... if you wanted to stop it..stop it as a legit tko WHILE they're fighting in the 7th iF VITALI IS receiving too much punishment & is defenseless..... that's the way it went down guys as i see it.

Lewis taught Vitali a boxing lesson that night.

Vitali came off that fight with better knowledge of the game.
