Funny how Margarito hasn't won an important fight since.....

It's funny how people still back Margarito so much. I don't understand. He's a B class boxer, don't know how he's still getting all these matches. Comes back from a 1 year suspension to fight the best in the game right now? I don't see why people back this fool (unless your blind with Mexican pride). No way in HELL he beats Cotto in the rematch. When Cotto beats him in the rematch I will be on here reading the excuses from the Marga-resto fans on how he's not the same cuz of the Pacquiao beating and so forth (funny cuz Cotto got beat down by the bricks and then went and got beat by Manny, no one can question that loss.)

I'm in no way a biased fan. I give credit where credit is due, Mexican, Puerto Rican, Black, White doesn't matter to me (even though I'm PRican) I'm new here and i've been going through the threads and there's plenty of haters and also a lot of people that seem like they know a lot about boxing, which is why we're supposed to be here, not to hate on other people/races.

Anyway, let me now what you think in the comments guys...

He lasted where other fighters couldn't and kept throwing. HE went through the meat grinder that is Manny Pacquiao, took the punishment, and never gave up.

He, unlike Cotto, has the heart of a champion. He may not be technically proficient, he may even be one dimensional, but he's always game, never gets tired, and won't ever back down. What more can you want from a fighter?

You're right about not needing to want anything more from a fighter, but did you really want him to keep going against Pacquiao? Please be honest dude..

You're the first person that i've seen say that Cotto doesn't have heart, if he didn't have heart he would've lost against Juda, Clottey with those crazy cuts he had..

It doesn't really matter what I want. It's what Margarito wants. Lesser men would have crumbled, taken a knee, and got out of their.

Margarito doesn't do that, he never does that, he has pride in himself as a man. I respect that machismo stuff. I know that others don't and they don't understand, but for Margarito, it was important that if he wasn't going to win, he was at least going to go the distance, not get knocked down, and not quit. He did that and I respect the hell out of it. A modern day Jake LaMotta.
