Propaganda? Which credible insiders and people in gyms are you referring to? From what I have seen/heard.. it's people praising pacquiao for his skills/accomplishments. He may not be the best boxer.. but he does have skills that some (here) overlook.

Manny's defensive counterpunching/footwork recently:
Margarito came out throwing an effective jab in the first round or two, then Manny timed it and started countering effectively, and his footwork going back and forward and overall slickness was beautiful to watch:
And of course, we all know what he does offensively:
someone could post gatti vs mayweather--insane offensive foot movement and perfect balance
let's see--mayweather vs sosa
mayweather vs mitchell
mayweather vs corley
need i go on---floyd turns up the heat when and where he wants to--it's just that he's been so good that he doesn't need to---
i just don't get how people can classify him as a particular type of fighter when his style has changed through each weight class--
he actually fought more offensively in 3 fights at 140 than he did at 135 and 130---but 130 is largely regarded as his best weight class, so the criticism is 2 fold--basically floyd can beat you anyway, whether potshotting and playing defense, or walking you down and fighting more offensively throwing combos and more--
i do agree with hopkins though not being as effective going forward than manny--but overall his footwork is better, and he's a smarter fighter also--

- He only fights comeforward types since JMM
- He clearly avoids boxers
- he clearly avoids boxers from other promoters
- if you have cement feet, little defense, like to slug and are with Top Rank, Manny wants you.
Not to mention all the catchweights. Don't get me wrong, he's having a lot of success but its not hard to see why if you take a critical look at it. Him being a good boxer has very little to do with it in the final equation.

whats also funny is that all of these dudes have something in coming. their footwork is ****, they can fight going backwards cannot counter punch, they plod foward nor have any footspeeed. you just exposed mannys cherry picking even more.
you pacfans dont even know your fav fighter well enough. so much that yall claim he has good footwork and can fight backwards but didnt post any vids from the JMM fight.
floyd is going to light this boy up like a Roman CandleLast edited by Pacquiao'd; 12-30-2010, 04:19 PM.

that video of manny landing on cotto with his left hand doesn't show me anything else but quicker handspeed and nice feints, upperbody movement--of course his legs have to be positioned good to keep his balance but he's not really moving--his counters are nowhere near floyd's and hopkins and floyd can counter you actually moving backwards or forward---
judah knows this
corley knows this
mitchell knows this
and noticed i listed all southpaws-lol
that was no accident
