Carl Froch is a huge over-achiever

I'm impressed. He seems to do more with less than those who are more gifted. Even showing some great boxing skills against Abraham. He even over-achieves with the ladies (Rachel Cordingly).

I can't stand they guy, but you have to give him his credit. Some disputied, but he offically has wins over Pascal, Taylor, Dirrell, and Abraham. I would have bet the bank in 2008 that there is no way in 2010 he has W's over all of those guys.

I think it's his ****y attitude. That's the only way he'd have the confidence to beat these fighters that have greater natural and physical ability.

He has belief, but he's a warrior too with heavy hands and a fantastic chin, all the fundamentals are there for success.

There are a lot of fighters that seem to "overachieve" but what does that mean, really? All factors have to be taken into consideration, like, "radar" to avoid punches and just have a inate sense of timing and vision. things that arent really quantifiable (sp) but are definitely real things. And just as important as strength, power, quickness, etc...

Yeah... I think his skillset is subpar IMO... but he definitely makes up for it in grit, determination and just plain willingness to fight...

It means they're 'underrated' as a result of not overtly demonstrating the classical skills most boxing scribes feel one needs to register as an elite fighter.

Like all scribes of any sport however, they are fallible, and can get it wrong.

All factors have to be taken into consideration, like, "radar" to avoid punches and just have a inate sense of timing and vision. things that arent really quantifiable (sp) but are definitely real things. And just as important as strength, power, quickness, etc...
Yep, all these things are there with Froch, they're not as visible as with some other fighters so he doesn't get the credit for them. He's not a perfect fighter but no one is.

I am fan after the Abraham fight, great plan that he stuck to. In terms of his girl, he has to have the hottest woman of all boxers.

People actually forget that Froch is an accomplished amateur boxer, he just fights sloppy at times but has all the tools to beat the guys hes been beating.

Notice in the AA fight he had his hands up and wasn't wreckless and actually worked behind the jab. He has a good trainer who he is finally listening to correctly and not just trying to fight the same fight against every opponent.

He can win the Super Six.

Yeah, he definitely commands respect. I like his brashness. He will gain a whole lot of fans if he beats the road warrior. Should be a great fight.. Two fighters that have awkward styles and like to come forward the whole fight.
