well from what I read on the website...it was a FAN poll that determined Pac was fighter of the year...the fans decided it which means basically it was a popularity contest...like voting for prom queen....

Both Fisher and Rosenthal voted Manny #1 in the P4P, NOT Fighter of the Year.

Anyway, I completely agree with this article....with that putazo he put Pwill down with and the drubbing of Pavlik, Sergio finally got his due!

Doug didn't give it to anyone. That was the results of FAN voting. Ring's actual picks won't come out until after the first of the year. I'd be shocked if they lined up with that absurd vote total. Anyone who picked Manny over Serg didn't watch boxing in 2010.

you know what, reading all of the posts from this thread so far and paying attention to the threads and posts that we all have been making about floyd mayweather jr and manny pacquiao and seeing how i have just had 4 triple shots of captain morgan's black cask whiskey-lol, you all may think i'm talking and posting out of my ass--but i have to get this out about the state of boxing currently---had sergio not won this fighter of the year award over pacquiao and floyd, i would have done everything in my power to get my name in the new media to **** all over the professi0nal boxing business--and i mean it-lol--

i am a firm believer that sergio and manny don't stand a chance of beating floyd mayweather jr. and i have my reasons for thinking so--and logical reasons at that--

but i am no fool to think that sergio martinez didn't deserve the fighter of the year. this year, seeing how he did what he did this year, against who he fought--seeing what he did against them, seeing the status of those fighters who he's fought when he fought them---

we can make a case imo for jmm and even floyd because of floyd fighting the undisputed welterweight champion---and being involved in professional boxing's biggest fight of the year, and for that matter, last 3 years for that matter-lol--

and not taking anything away from manny pacquiao, but he fought a fighter who lost his previous fight before fighting him, and a fighter who had a 2 year layoff and fought a terrible fight in his comeback fight against a great human being but an unproven fighter--lol---

had this not gone to sergio, as far as the timing of the fight and who he fought, i would have most likely rioted and gotten myself hurt over it-lol--

i know, maybe i'm going too far to you guys, but i feel the way i feel-lol
