Klitschko fans like to criticise every boxer arround but they can't stand anyone criticising the k brothers.
Was Vitali Klitschko waiting for Lennox Lewis to get old before facing him?

End Thread. What a bunch of nonsense. Klitschkos then promoter Universum had to sue Lennox and the WBC in order to get this fight done. Lennox was going to fight Kirk Johnson with the WBC belt *NOT* on the line just in order to avoid Vitali. Then Johnson injured himself and the rest is history.
If it wasn't for Johnson Lennox may have continued to avoid Vitali. Not because Lennox was scared of Vitali, but simply because the risk/reward ratio was quite bad from Lennox' point of view.Comment

Are you trolling? Ill say it one more time then im outta here.
Vitali is the one who took the fight on 10 days notice.
Not Lewis. Lennox Lewis had a full training camp, Vitali did not. He stepped in at the last minute.
When you say that someone took a fight on less notice, it means they didnt get a full training camp in. Lewis got a full camp.
I know this wasn't directed at me,
but BOTH had 10 days notice since they were BOTH preparing to fight BEFORE the injury happened.Comment

it obviously goes both ways. taking on a new opponent with ten days notice IS EQUAL DISADVANTAGE TO BOTH. Both fighters had advantages and disadvantages that made this fight EVEN IMO. Perfectly even as far as attributes, "prime", "in shape", "green", etc. they negated each other out. AND WHAT WENT DOWN IN THE RING IS SIMPLY WHAT IT IS. Vitali was obviously winning, but it is unfortunate that part of boxing is your body's ability to hold up to punishment. so, lennox deserves that win. HOWEVER, I do think Lennox should have gave Vitali the rematch as promised., and definitely as Vitali and the fans deserved. That could have changed the course of heavyweight history had they rematched. *shrugs*, i like the hell outta both fighters and it is what it is. fun to debate about, though
