wifebeater is a poor man's SRL without the excitement, entertaining style, punching power or charisma and wifebeater is a poor man's whitaker without the heart to throw punches in bunches, grit to fight anyone, or competitiveness to prove he's the best.Comment

Neither. At all. Leonard was a brilliant offensive fighter with top defense and all around skill and freak speed. This thing about him being like a WW Ali is rubbish. He could move around and box well, but very rarely did that. In fact, the only fights he fought like that were Duran II and Hagler really. All the rest of his career was done using his own real style which was to trade, flurry, stick the jab and win with his speed, power and skill. Very different from Floyd.
Whitaker was more of a risk taker than Floyd too. He used his defense a lot of the time as an entertainment point in many fights. He had less power though and wasn't as fast. He was a little more unorthodox in his style too. Again, very different.
Floyd is just Floyd. Not really a poor mans anything, nor does he replicate any guy in particular. He's much closer to how his dad fought than either of those two, just better.Comment

No, not at all he fights nothing like them.
He is more Hopkins, Toney, Benton etc etc type of a fighter.
Nothing like Whitaker at all.
Anselmo Moreno is a poor man Whitaker, and I mean very poor, no disrespect to Moreno cuz he is one of my favorites and very skilled. It just Whitaker was on another level.
And, Leonard? I would say defense wise, pure boxing skill wise Leonard is a poor man Floyd TBH. Leonard defense and pure boxing skills was overrated IMO. However, Leonard brawling skills and pressure skills was underrated IMO. Overall I would take Leonard>Floyd. But, no poor man anything different dudes, different styles really, different ways they went about their business.Comment
