The guy has been stopped brutally 2 times by 2 big punchers, and had his face busted to pieces by the end of both fights. And he wasn't remotly close to winnig the Abraham fight, and regardless to if he was beating Froch(which IMO he was) It doesnt change the fact that for the last 3 rounds and especially the 12th he took some real punishment.

Also, he took alot of shots in both Hopkins fights, and both Pavlik fights and in the first Pavlik fight he was also stopped, and took some tremendous flush shots.

So yes, he has taken too many beatings and i don't want to see him take anymore.

he's been stopped 3 times not twice.....none of his losses were a shut out including the fight with AA... taking 3 rounds of beatings of each of his 3 ko losses does'ntexactly equal to being in too may wars like you say it is....

He should have enough money to retire comfortably. He should manage his finances well and if he wants to be involved in boxing still he should consider training boxers. He has been badly ko 3 times its not worth it for him to risk his mental health.

Yeah, i know. My post states he has been stopped 3 times..

No none of them were shut outs, again, that doesnt change the fact he was brutally stopped twice, and stopped pretty badly against Pavlik. It also doesnt change the fact that he took sufficent leather in the two Hopkins fights, the two Pavlik fights, especially the first fight were he took alot of flush hard shots.

Getting stopped by Abraham, Froch and Pavlik isn't the best thing for your career...

            No.

Entering the Super Six was just a terrible idea so soon after the Pavlik fights. Those took a lot out of him, and it's clear jumping right in with world-class guys so soon and at a higher weight was just the wrong move.

He's had a year off. I'd like to see him maybe take an easy fight in the summer or fall and see where he's at.

Taylor should stay retired. Maybe one more outing against a soft touch as a little finale kind of thing. But at the top level he is done. Taylor was a pretty good fighter, very athletic, decent chin before he took so much punishment, and a good boxer, but he just has nothing left.

Don't underrate him in his prime, he was a good fighter man. But now, not so much.

If he's coming back at a certain level, like to fight Roy Jones or . . . Dhafir Smith or Allen Green then sure, I love watching Taylor fight.

But if he's going to come back and let Showtime put him in with Lucian Bute or some castoff from the tournament (not named Green), then no. Stay retired.

I think he should stay retired. I also thought he was an average fighter who couldn't set up a punch w/ a glass chin. He would have been a much better fighter if he'd kept the trainer from earlier in his career.

I think he has a mental problem he needs to work out. I don't think it's a coincidence he gets KO'ed in the last seconds of his fights.

he should take a long road back, start slow, and build himself up, i'd say 168, but unless he miraculously built himself back up, he wont be back at the top level. maybe skill wise, but i think his (WILL's chin) can hold up...........

he could comeback to make some money but being a champ again, i think is a one in a million.

it would be a great story if he were to do it.

i used to really dislike taylor because of the hype and the favoritism but after he was casted aside like nothing and marginalized i started to see his qualities as a fighter and a role model and i felt he was jibbed and wronged.

he was a hbo investment that went south on them, they were trying to make another DLH, and after it didn't pan out, taylor was treated as cannon fodder. sad stuff.

i think that he should comeback really slowly, gets some wins, make some noise without taking a serious risk, retire, and get into announcing. i'm just saying, that is a decent 5 year plan.....

unless he was smart with his money, then he can say **** it and get fat.
