    Nationalism and British Boxing

when it comes to boxing fans.... it seems like the British fans are the most nationalistic, that they only root for there fellow countrymen

do you guys think the brits are the nationalistic fans when it comes to boxing.

more than americans, mexicans, etc. etc.

I am a brit and i cheer for other good fighters.. like Mayweather, Martinez, Adamek, Mosley etc

You are right in a way though the majority of Hattons fans were not real boxing fans and acted like pricks

let them root for their fighters, that's pretty normal, and they're in a good period now, British boxing is alive, in 3 to 4 years they won't have anyone to root for

Of course it is good to be loyal.

Heck Hitler was a cruel man and msot Germans probably thought so, but they were loyal.

It doesn't mean it's right though.

Probably all Ukranians support the Klit's.

                Almost all pinoys support Pac.

                Most Americans support Floyd.

I support Khan and Haye to soem extent. I hated Forch but have grown to like him.

Also you got a fair few Americans (which is wierd as they are in a terrible state given the numbers they have) hating on Brit fighters around here for some reason so naturally we defend them.. except Haye who seems to have ducked the Klits for the last year or so

Thats not true at all. My favourite 10 fighters arn't from the UK, i would imagine my favourite 25 arn't even from the UK. Even my favourite current active 10 arn't even from the UK.
