I think Burns and his people are making a huge mistake

you don't go looking for people like Juanma Lopez thats a fight he should stay away from

he didn't look great in his last fight against Evensen a with no punching power he wouldn't be able to discourage Juanma from coming in and landing bombs it would be over in about 4 rounds

Lol my theory is JuanMa dont wanna unify at 126. I think Gamboa would KO him, Rojas would outbox him, Gonzalez has that 1 punch KO to lay him on his ass but his chin has failed him before so I wouldnt count on that one 100%. Only one he would probably KO is John because hes past his prime and unless in Indonesia he would be elbowed to death by JuanMa. This is a clear way to say I want no part of the top 126ers so lemme unify the weaker 130 division but lemme fight a 122 lber for my final 126 bout

I call bull**** on this, no way in hell Juanma gets paid 3Mills to fight that bum. And if for some odd reason he gets paid that by all means take the fight, atleast it is for a belt at a new weight.

Men Bob arum and his BS fights. I starting to hate TR fighters, including my fellow PR's for this BS fights. Altough it is a easy fight for Juanma I would understand him fighting Burns at a new weight for a Belt and 3mills

So you are saying that not to take 3 million to fight a winnable fight and take less money to unify? Boxing is a business, if the 3 million remains true no other fighter would generate so much money

i live in scotland and there is no mention of this at all.

cant see this happening as burns will make a voluntary defence in glasgow in march before taking on his mandatory in the summer

If he really fights Kennedy I will agree with you, if Burns is next then no. Lopez is exciting cause he can punch and does get hit alot. Fighters like that don't last long on the top but are fun to watch.

I do agree that once a top fighter gets to a point in his career they should be fighting top opposition. It keeps the fighter sharper and those crap fights don't do anything for them but help their bank accounts. But expect this with any Arum fighter

This is just an outright lie.

Why would a fight with Ricky Burns in it generate that kind of dough.

I doubt Burns has ever had a purse that far exceeded £20,000 which is why until recently he actually worked in a sports store.

And if this is somehow true, Burns would be an eejit to turn it down. Six-figures for getting knocked out in a match he is supremely overmatched in. It means he's made it.
