Peter doesn't deserve ****, let alone a 50-50 split. I am glad he priced himself out of the fight because maybe Adamek will fight someone worthy instead.

Kind of reminds of another situation where a guy asking for 50/50 doesn't deserve it, except that in that situation the undesrving fighter is actually asking for more than 50/50.

does anybody actually think Sammie Peters has brains enough to ask for anything in a negotiation outside of maybe 10 goats and 5 pelts. Sammie probably cannot count anyway. Not sure who Sammie's manager is but it is probably some Nigerian Goat herder or witchdoctor.

Peter could still beat most other HWs out there, and yes I would put money on him against many of the top guys.
Peter is no easy fight for Adamek, not at all. Adamek got rocked by Michael Grant, so I think Sammy could at least do that well and give Tomasz something to think about.
If Adamek goes in another direction, he should consider a fight in Poland against Al Sosnowski, which would be huge there. Sosnowski was ready to go against Dimitrenko before Sascha got weak in the knees and fainted. He needs a fight soon.

Peter basically went from fighting bums to fighting Wlad, not much of a guage as to his current skill level. That he did worse in the rematch than in the first fight can just as easily (and far more credibly) be credited to an improvement in Wlad's game, rather than any deterioration in Peter's skills. If he starts getting dominated by journeymen in his next few fights then, sure, I'll start agreeing with you, but as things stand now he's no better and no worse than he ever was.
Though I'm willing to listen to any evidence you have to the contrary, sparring stories etc.
Ever since Wlad right hand in the first fight Peter has not been the same. Sure he had some solid wins against past prime fighters like Toney and Maskaev. Then gets dominated by Vitaly who was gone for 4 years. Now no shame in losing to Vitaly he is an elite HW but he was still gone for 4 years and came back and Peter was his 'tune up' basically. Then in his very next fight losses convincingly and looks very bad against an out of shape Chambers. Then beats tomato cans and just looks bad against Wlad(no shame). But, if he can't be competitive any longer with top 10 fighters. Which he really hasn't in his last 3 fights against top 10 then there is no need to keep on giving him a shot.
It really should be Adamek-Chamber or Adamek-Chagaev for the IBF #1 spot not Peter. He is done, have him beat a top 15 first before considering a shot at the mandatory. But, until he beats a top 15 fighter he is washed up.

Peter was unmotivated against Chambers and very heavy. He has righted that ship and stayed in good shape recently, though. I think if he is focused and fit he still gives any HW not named Klitschko a lot of trouble.

Anyways LOL @ unmotivated against Chambers...And, Chambers was very heave as well and still beat him clearly. No excuses bro.
What evidence has there been that he still has it? Because, he KO'd Nagy Aguilera?
C'mon.
He doesn't deserve this shot. Both Chagaev and Chambers are ranked higher than him. Both Chagaev and Chambers are top 10 in every respectable ranking. Peter doesn't crack the top 10 in any respectable ranking.
If he still has it let him start over and prove himself. Let him go fight Maurice Harris, or Derrick Rossy, or Helenius, or Sosnowski, or somebody like that. Those are 3rd tier HWs if he can beat them then we can start discussing him back to contender status. Until then no he should not be in the discussion.
In his last 3 fights against 3 top 10 fighters he has been decisively beat how many chances can get without proving himself to be worthy? KO'ing tomato cans doesn't prove that you're worthy.
