People need to understand that it wasn't the plaster gloves that truly fucked Cotto up in the 1st fight. It was the constant pressure. You can't put plaster in a chin and everytime Cotto hit Margarito and he kept coming he lost confidence and gave up. Cotto never does well against guys who apply lots of pressure and he basically gives up after the 5th round or so.

Margarito will still win by UD or late round TKO.

Margarito busts Cotto's nose [which henders his breathing for the rest of the fight]

Cotto can take Margarito's shots early and stays on the ropes too often because of that belief.

Suddenly, Margarito's punches are getting harder as the fight wears on, but Cotto realizes bringing Margarito to the ropes to unload combinations has cost him, Cotto's breathing is hindering his stamina. But despite all this, Cotto still fights back till he can't no more in the 11th round.

I believe plaster was used, no offense, Cotto was taking Margarito's shots early and he stood on the ropes too long till the punches got harder. And Cotto's stamina was hindered by the busted nose in the 2nd round. Cotto was always ready to take a rematch with Margarito, his uncle even said so. The plan was just to stay off the ropes.

No plaster this time, Cotto's still the fresher fighter with new found confidence and a jab he should be using more this time. Margarito loses this time around.
