Forget random OST in order for Floyd and Manny to be made. Floyd needs to lose his next two fights after vacation or show serious signs of deterioration in order for Manny to step up and sign to fight him.
How do you "prepare" for fighting an undefeated fighter who's the most complete boxer and gifted fighter of possibly all time by fighting other fighters coming off losses, boring draws, shot, old, showing signs of deterioration, weight drained etc. You don't.
You try to prepare by fighting the best options available to you and learning from those fights win or lose.
Media attention, 8 titles,F.O.T.D, in-house matchups, tons of fans from around the world aren't going to help you in the ring.
Submitting all your demands and not taking random OST "may" help you if the other party agrees, but if that other party has shown no signs of deterioration and is recognized as the blueprint of boxing...that may not be enough.
With that being said. When Floyd comes back from vacation the only way for the mega fight to happen with the "mega hyped" pacman is:
a) Floyd loses two fights in a row.
b) Floyd shows serious signs of deterioration.
c) Top Rank has no other options for Manny to beat and they finally have to throw him to Floyd while (hopefully for them) keeping the negotiation level somehow in their favor or even.
Floyd may actually just accept Manny to NOT take the tests for the biggest payday of their careers in order for the fight to happen when Manny's "options" run out... or the window of opportunity may close on both of them regarding a huge selling fight. The reason I say this is because Manny will not fight anyone on top of their game. He'll take "possibly" marquez next after they see how he does in his next fight, or Berto depending on how he does in his. Sergio they won't go near, and possibly the loser of Alexander Bradley. They won't take the winner. That could be 3 or 4 more fights for Pac which would be well into the end of 2012.
Top Rank has also been talking about taking Pac's next fight(s) out of the country, which should tell you based on his declining numbers that the general public in the states aren't buying the carnival sideshow act anymore.
Pac can fight others on their way out and get away with whatever he's doing in front of new audiences in different countries.
Team Pac and honest Arum for sure as hell wants no parts of Floyd now or anytime soon till they milk Manny dry and their "next big thing" comes along.
Floyd comes back from vacation and immediately fights and beats Sergio...there's no fight out there for Pac to top that. Pac's next "big thing" would be fighting out of the states.
