I'm no pac***, but am I the only one who thinks manny would beat this Oscar?
manny vs Oscar who fought Tito

Manny would knock him out, oscar in my opinion was a very good fighter but not a special one like pac is, manny is honestly a better version of a younger oscar, throwing those combinations with angles and amazing foot work -

I think Oscar was too good in his prime. Sure he ran from Tito (still won the fight IMO) but Pac doesnt hit like Tito does. I think Oscar would actually beat Pac up with his jab (which was GREAT) and possibly KO him later with the left hook (which was better.) Manny couldnt KO an old washed up and weight drained Oscar. Oscar had some whiskers on him. He could take all Pac could dish out and then some. And yes, I understand Im yet another person who thinks Pac loses a hypothetical match up, but its just the way I see it.Last edited by Motofan; 12-25-2010, 06:57 PM.Comment

Oscar couldn't beat a WW pacquiao....He simply didn't have the skills or resilience (like JMM and Morales did) to beat Manny.
We know Pac's fighting these guys who look like mummies and punching bags....but Cotto, Clottey, Margarito were all champs. Pac's improved skill set simply renders these fighters punching bags and sparring partners.
I think Manny wins the decision. Delahoya used to think a fight was only 6 rounds then he'd run away jabbing and potshotting...and he liked to "steal" rounds in the final seconds....that would mean trading blows with Manny....which is a HUUUUUUGE no no.Comment

Manny could NEVER KO a prime Oscar. Not on his best day.Oscar couldn't beat a WW pacquiao....He simply didn't have the skills or resilience (like JMM and Morales did) to beat Manny.

This is why I think he would get whooped by Floyd and manny even if he was "prime". He wasn't ever consistent with his gameplan and would end up giving away rounds often. It was like he was confused, and it was frustrating to watch.Oscar couldn't beat a WW pacquiao....He simply didn't have the skills or resilience (like JMM and Morales did) to beat Manny.

This.
Oscar never did well with southpaws to begin with, and not one as aggressive as Pacquiao. Pacquiao would beat a prime Oscar much the same way he beat a faded one. Turning him. That strategy coupled with Pacquiao's speed and combinations can theoretically trump a lot of great fighters, prime or no.Comment
