World Series Of Boxing On Versus

Are these actual PRO fights? The announcers at the start of the broadcast made it sound as if they were amateurs in a transitional period, so there not quite pro yet?

I'm pretty sure it's amateur boxing, without head gear. The winners go on to the Olympics in 2012 or whatever. I've only seen a few eps but it's solid entertainment.

it is pretty much a pro fight but the guys can still fight amateur.

Damn, some good fights. Just got a ko, that should have been stopped earlier though. He was completely out on his feet.

it's pretty awesome what they are doing. read about it:

it's basically a way to keep these young guys fighting, not at a pro level but they get paid - around $60,000/yearly or around that figure.

No headgear or that ****** point system.

I didn't know this was televised and I don't have versus so I'll be downloading this.
