The question that has been floating around is, should Manny fight Berto, Mosley and Marquez?

Most haters are stating why not Marquez BUT Marquez would lose against THIS Manny at 140+ in many people's mind.

While Mosley is old, Mosley still possesses a punchers chance as he showed against Floyd ...... BUT from that comment you are exaggerating it to fit your purpose! Again, Mosley is still the same person except for maybe not being as rusty and for the fact that Manny is not as defensive minded as Floyd. So more shots will get thru.

    Stop with your exaggerations.

Oh, Floyd's standard's are fighting 140 and below fighters of late. How surprised would you be if he actually picks someone like Malignaggi? If you answered not very surprised then Floyd's standards are in question. ...... Plus, it was just a few months ago that he fought Mosley.

    So keep it real!

    .
Well,Mosely as we found out,is very much old....Being exposed as a fighter with zilch left in the tank in his prior 2 fights should not make for a candidate in a fight with anyone who is p4p.The truth is,Shane was coming off of a career rejuvenating win against Margarito...after that,he has severely gassed out in his last 2 fights.

While I give Shane a puncher's chance,I give ANY boxer with even an average punch that same chance. How about Manny taking a real chance against a solid boxer that hasn't had any problems in his recent fights? The problem I have is with fighters who are active-cherry picking their way to massive hype.Floyd,to me,is inactive and fights only on occasion for the last several years.Until he gets back to boxing full time, current expectations at the moment seems very small to me.What you are doing is comparing an active fighter to a part-time fighter. The active fighter in my eyes, should be doing what it takes to make the good fights.

As for the "question that has been floating around"....these few options were VERY limited when there were certainly other options.Manny and his team have just done their predictable pattern of fighting a guy who has looked even worst than ever. Not even his loyal fans can easily rationalize their recent selection of Shane.

I KNOW who wins that fight. It's just not interesting.

Just thinking a little & I have come to the conclusion that if a fight like this were to happen & if it were on regular hbo,I'd have no problem with it!!It wouldn't be a major event so put that **** on regular hbo, nothing to complain about!!

Nah. It might have been acceptable coming off the Diaz win, but after Khan dominated him it would be a big step down for Floyd. If Paulie does end up challenging Zavec for his strap and pulls of the W then MAYBE.

But honestly, why on earth would Floyd fight the weakest title holder, when HBO loves Berto and he's considered the best at 147 outside of Pac and Floyd by a country mile? And Floyd would probably easily beat him too?

The winner of Bradley/Alexander, who Pacquiao once again avoids by choosing his next opponent early, would gather far more interest and respect as an opponent for Floyd.

Good luck trying to sell a Floyd fight against someone who was totally dominated by Hatton and Khan. Boxing fans memories aren't that short.

You guys realize that Larry doesn't actually believe any of this right? He's just trying to point out a double standard.

The default response of any die-hard Pac fan is to derail the subject to Floyd's personal life, and other non-boxing tabloid material, when they can't come up with a reasonable argument for whatever topic is being discussed.
