Mosley at the time was coming off a very impressive win over Margacheato and he KO'd the **** out of him in easy fashion. Mosley was also the best Welterweight at the time, #3 p4p fighter in the world, and super champ. People wanted to see Mosley fight Floyd because Mosley was the best available fighter at the time besides Pac. This fight was in demand by the media and fans.

Mosley has not won in 2 years, got humiliated by Floyd, is not ranked in the p4p rankings, and he's not the best WW right now. Unlike Floyd vs. Mosley were people wanted to see that fight, nobody wants to see Manny vs. Floyd. Mosley was the best available fighter for Floyd, but Manny could've picked a lot of other guys who are better than the current Mosley.

Only the haters and ****** *******s were saying Mosley was old and shot.
