This could be a good way for JMM to get his feet wet at 140. I'd love to see Marquez fight Tim Bradley at that weight.

But you can't sit there and tell me that Morales didn't want to fight JMM back in 04 because he did.

I like JMM a lot and I like Morales too. I like them both about the same. JMM has shown that his heart is unquestionable and you can't doubt Morales even though it seems to a lot of people that he mailed it in in the third Pacquiao fight. The thing about this fight though is even though I have hard feelings toward JMM taking this fight, I will probably be rooting for him to win. I like the fact that he has shown he can bounce back from adversity like in the Katsidis fight and the third Pacquiao fight.

Morales is the one fighting for history though and not JMM. JMM has everything to lose and nothing to gain. Morales has just the opposite. Morales is the one trying to make history if he fights JMM at 135. And then, the fight will be an even bigger mismatch.
I agree man, that fight does nothing for me now, and I wanted JMM/Morales for years. That fight would be a mismatch now, and I hate to see an old faded champion take a beating just for a payday. That suxx.

                It's a bit like Mosley/Pac, and a bit like JMM/Pac at 147.

It does nothing for JMM's legacy either.

Marquez wanted all three and repeatedly called them out.

Morales avoided that fight, and Hamed ducked Marquez like he had the plague.

Barrera was the only one who eventually stepped up.
