Mayorga is coming off a KO win so by certain people's logic this will be a legit and impressive win for Cotto

As far as tune-ups go, this is solid. Just a set up for Cotto-Margarito II and possibly Cotto-Martinez.

Yeah, this fight would have done great on regular HBO... I will buy it anyway.


Hopefully we get some good undercards, maybe JuanMa..

whats all this tune up fight for cotto people talk about??...he had surgery yeah but i'm sure he'll be fine,no need for a tune up to face another fighter who is now done(margarito)that in itself is a tune up for any other fighter,he fights the weakest champ in foreman,now he'll be fighting a has been to get ready for another has been in margarito,yeah margarito is done,manny finished him,i thought marg would give him a fight but i was wrong,shane started it,manny finished him and he'll be fed to cotto...wow,awesome fights

Awesome fight!!! Blob Arum and Top Stank are a long ways away from making up for exploiting Manny's career to line their pockets at the fans' expense...but this fight is a nice break from the Top Stank buffoonery of late.

All those people need to shut the hell up about cotto fighting weak people has beens and unknown fighters cotto has a bad ass resume he is one of few with a list of big names he not only overcame but BEAT UP. Plus hes fighting martinez or manny at the end of the year.

Would like to have seen Cotto give Berto a shot, but I'm not surprised by this move. A decent tune up, I guess.

I think I understand this fight. I hate it it, but I see the reasoning behind it.

I think Cotto's team or Top Rank want Cotto in with someone rugged, similar to Margarito. Someone who will give him rounds, but someone definitely beatable...

At the same time they want to maximize their money andd Mayorga is still a name kind of...more so than Wolak or Alvarez. And Vanes is too good for what they seem to be looking for imo even though I think he's beatable.

This may come back and bite Arum. Mayorga may not even make the weight. At least the press conferences will be fun lol.

yeah cuz pac, cheato, mosley, clottey, judah weren't a challenge for cotto.

It's almost 2011 kid. Cotto is a much different fighter now. Bringing up past opponents does not help your argument. I am talking about the present. Cotto v Mayorga. Hit me back if have anything relative to say about THIS fight.
