Okay, understand this Vanes openly on this site called out anyone at 54, Lara did everything but slap Vanes mom and he *****ed out. He talks and talks and then squeaks by the b class guys he actually fights. So excuse us non believers for thinking he's all talk. He knows there is no way the undisputed middleweight champ fight a fringe up and comer like him, so why not get the press. Same as Khan, but at least khan has s pedigree.

For the record... Vanes calls everybody out. Who he actually fights and who he calls out couldn't be more different. I think he has skills and needs to be developed properly and be kept on a busier schedule, but it also seems that Roach and Arum aren't really investing in him like some of their other fighters. I see lesser fighters promoted better and get better exposure (e.g., Joan Guzman, Celestino Caballero, Victor Ortiz, etc.). He reminds me of a young and green Oscar de la hoya and needs tougher fights before he goes in with a Martinez or Cotto. Maybe Mora, Alcine or even Mundine.
