if pac fights berto,
people will say berto fought only bums, wasnt ready for pac.

if pac fought marquez,
they would say marquez lost because of the weight, age.

if he fights mosley
,hes fightin a guy tht lost and drew his last 2 fights, looked bad vs a style he doesnt deal well with, looks older and not so good anymore.

if he fights any light welter,
theyle say he fought a nobody who never beat any good welterweight, and the light welter wasnt as good at welterweight.

if he fights williams
they say he just got knocked out and ruined,he was beatin up on sloppy seconds.

if he fights alverez
they say hes just a kid with no experience who is slow.

if he fights martinez,
it would need to be another "light middleweight catchweight" if he wins, they will say pac drained martinez, tht guy was a more natural middleweight.

if he fights anyone else, the fight isnt big, doesnt sell aswell.

pac cant fight anyone without getting hate. its floyd fault pac isnt able to fight floyd.

at the moment the only fight that could get made money wise for contract talks and weight wise was mosley.

its a better fight than what people think.

dont judge a guy on 2 fights and ignore the rest of his career.

pac is not slick like floyd or mora is,although his movement will still cause shane problems.

be lucky pac is still fighting, and on a regular basis.
be lucky?that makes no sense but i know what you mean but why should i care when there are a bunch of other boxers besides manny that are not fighting opponents that no one wants to see them fight besides his die hard manny fans

Nope. Floyd is the biggest draw in the sport and he only did 1.4 million in a figth that GBP promoted very very well.

It will do under one million at the PPV......remember this.

I predicted good numbers for Marg va vs Manny. I said 1.2 - 1.5.

This is different......it will struggle to hit the million mark.

It's Manny who is in the fight, it's Manny who's getting punched so what they say means absolutely nothing, in fact I'm sure they just said that because they knew Shane was fighting Floyd and they wanted to down play that fight to make Floyd look bad, just like how according to Arum Floyd is "The greatest Boxer ever" while he's bringing some dollars in to Top Rank but once he leaves it's Manny who "is the greatest", all of those guys are full of shit and Manny doesn't deserve this back lash, he is going to have a fight on his hands come fight night with Shane
is this sarcasm?..people think Shane is no longer Shane based off his last performance..youre only as good as your last performance..who the hell ever listens to Roach and Arum, so I dont know what makes you think opinions are based on that.
If the live threat that fought Mora steps into the ring with Pac(which will be the case)..he is NO live threat!..
and Top Rank never down played that fight when May/Mosley was made..they said Shane was a threat to his record and has a shot at winning..so I dont know what youre talking about on that point...
simply put if Mosley would have had different performances in his last fights, instead of looking lack-luster..Pac would not be fighting him now..

It won't do anymore than a fight with JMM would do IMO. I think they are trying to shake the tag that they avoid African American fighters.........which isn't really what Nard and others have said. What he really said was that they are avoiding slick fighting styles which are generally synonymous with African American fighters.

Shane's black. Not slick. Especially now.....in his younger days he was more slick, now he is a puncher.

It would have been huge if Manny waited for the outcome of Bradley/Alexander and faced the winner at 147. Berto at 147 would be better too.....and honestly sellable. Though peeople don't know Berto he is a sellable commodity. He is young, good looking (objectively speaking), undefeated and he get's explosive KO's. He is also reasonably well spoken and i'm sure they could find alot of interesting things to do on 24/7 re Berto. They could highlight the tragedy in Haiti etc etc.

JMM. Well we have a back story already there, and Juan has been fanning the flames with antics such as that shirt and talking negatively about MP at every opportunity.

So many better options than Shane out there.
