I think some people are being overly harsh to Pascal.
Hopkins fought to the absolute best of his ability and whilst not hurt, had to get off the deck twice. He looked like a boy against a lion for the first few rounds and it looked doom and gloom for him.
But started evening up the mid rounds and then really put his foot down on the gas in the last four rounds and did himself proud but the 10-8 rounds left him with a mountain to climb of his own making.
Pascal beat up Dawson and exposed his myth - then called for Hopkins himself and took the challenge. He came up a little short at the end of the fight, but still deservedly clung to his belt with the early work.
It was simply a game of two halves, with either man winning a segment.
"ive lost respect for Pascal" and "it was a total robbery" - get a clue !

Pascal claims there were close rounds but I didn't see them.
There are 4 criteria for judging a boxing match:
1) clean punching,
2) effective aggressiveness,
3) ring generalship,
4) defense
In every round from 5-12 BHop not only landed more clean punches but also controlled all 3 of the remaining criteria that can be used for scoring.
At best Pascal may have carried 1 of 4 categories in a round, but if he did I failed to notice it.
He was throughly taken to school in all facets of the game. He was ineffective, landed fewer punches, attempted fewer punches, failed to dictate pace or distance and his defense??? LMAO... running around the ring like a goddamn jackass is not considered defense.
The fight was close because of the knockdowns, but it was still a clear win for Hopkins just like Wladimir Klitschko clearly beat Sam Peter the first time despite 3 knockdowns because he controlled all 4 criteria in every other round... just like Hopkins did.
Someone should tell Pascal the D'Nile ain't just a river in Egypt.

HOPKINS is the true Winner
Hopkins truly won the fight no matter how old he may be. A true warrior in every sense and Pascal needs to accept the fact that some people are better than others and that they were born with the gift. But winning because of unfair practices is not a real winner its a fake winner no matter how you look at it. I don't how he can sleep knowing he did not win the fight fairly. It takes a real warrior, or man to accept their defeat and if he still thinks hes' got it, I'm sorry coz he is fooling himself. Wake up to reality

hobkins should be embarrassed!!!! the "atg" got dropped twice by the green horn, and couldn't come out of Canada with a victory!!!! Now he's crying about the draw!!! He always crys when he loses or looks bad in a fight. As far as he's concerned, He's UNDEFEATED!!!! He's NEVER LOST a fight!!!!

ROBBERY !!! This is not what we call a roberry. The score was not 118-110.It was a close fight and could go any way. Hopkins is always crying anyway.
114-112 or 113-113 it's an opinion, and that is a respecting scorecard.
Juging a boxing match is not an on-off switch, it's an opinion.

there is a criteria that the judges have to follow and going by that criteria, hopkins won the fight outright..............
judges need to be judged and reviewed, that belgium douche has no business in being a judge, let alone a judge in a world title match......... how anyone could've scored the 10th and 12 round for pascal, either round, is out their damn mind and don't know jack sheit about boxing or how to score boxing, unless that guy is involved in some unsavory practices such as being paid off and corrupt all to blame it on POV....... what about the criteria!?!?!?! for **** sake! what a copout.
yes it was a robbery......
also both of you guys fail to realize, pascal didnt get a win on ANY OF THE JUDGES SCORE CARDS.......... only draws, hopkins had at least one of the judges score in his favor. that speaks volumes, especially since hopkins was the visiting fighter...........Last edited by deuce_drop; 12-23-2010, 07:29 AM.

Pascal lost the fight because he stopped doing what was getting him success in the early rounds
he hit bernard upside his head with the left hook a good few times but like he said bhop made adjustments and ****
if pascal had of been abit more active in the middle of the fight he wins it don't know what all this robbery talk is it was a close fight that surprising wasn't awarded to the guy boxing in his hometown
