Would be a waste of time IMO. Prescott has lost to Mitchell since then on Khan's undercard.

Khan is a much better boxer physically and mentally since that fight and would be a bit of a mismatch now..

im tired of prescotts name being brought up over and over, you guys want prescott to face khan next, then tell prescott to beat some damn worthy opponents. khan has had 3 defenses and beat the likes of malignaggi (the then #5 ranked jr welterweight) and maidana (the #4 ranked jr welterweight) and talks of him fighting possibly peterson (#7) next, who has prescott fought? when he gets himself to be ranked top 10 (hes barely ranked in the top 50 imo), then i want to see khan vindicate himself, until then this fight is a waste of a better fight

Nah. Khan's confidence/skills/speed/power are on a different level to when he fought Prescott, whereas Prescott has disappointed and not come on at all.

Easy work for Khan. TKO in r2, if he is patient.

If, or when Bradley beats Alexander don't be surprised if a fight between Kahn and Bradley takes a year or more to make. More then likely, Kahn is going to continue with the "priced himself out" and "he'll make more than he's ever made before if he fights me (so that means I should dictate how much money he makes LOL)" routine with anyone not named Mayweather. Even then I would not be surprised if Kahn demanded a higher split then HE himself deserves against Floyd.

If you think Kahns ego was huge before the Maidana fight, believe me, you ain't seen nothin yet.... If JMM supposively "priced himself out" twice already in negotiating with Kahn, BEFORE the Maidana fight - How much do you think Kahn is going to say Bradley is worth? He has already told the world (before fighting Maidana) that he believed that Maidana was better then Alexander AND Bradley, and that taking on Maidana meant he was "taking on #1 straight away." So, if Amir thinks he just beat #1 (and look how hard it was for Maidana to negotiate $$$), can you imagine the kind of things we're going to hear from Amir during negotiations to fight Tim Bradley?? Amir: "Tim Bradley doesn't deserve to be paid as much as Maidana got paid because Maidana is better then Tim, and I beat Maidana."

As much as Kahn and the HBO commentators want to say that Kahn CHOSE to fight Maidana, the fact is that - had Chino not been Amirs mandatory, and if a purse bid not been ordered, we probably would have never seen Kahn vs Maidana. If Maidana had not gone on to petition the commision for a mandatory purse split bid, Kahn would have been able to walk away and simply say that Maidana was not willing to negotiate and gone on to fight someone else.

Right or wrong, I just can't stand the way Kahn acts like he deserves to call all the shots. How is it that Amir Kahn, at age 22 (at the time), with only 25 fights (at the time) that weren't exactly "newsworthy" (with the exception of HIM being brutally knocked out in the 1st round by a stepping stone) - is the end all and shot caller? How is it that every fighter worth their weight that Team Kahn negotiates with is "over pricing themselves"?? As an example - telling a legend and a warrior like JMM that he has "priced himself out of a fight" with the likes of Kahn, who has done virtually nothing IN COMPARISON to JMM, is laughable and is what leaves so many fans with a bitter taste when it comes to Amir Kahn IMHO. Again, I believe whole heartedly that we have only just seen a small preview of what is yet to come in "The World according to Kahn".

Don't get me wrong, I do acknowledge Kahns improvements and respect his skills... it's just his attitude, and the things he says outside of the ring that leaves so much to be desired, and is what I think keeps people from becoming full fledged fans of the man himself (much like FMJ). He hasn't done enough yet though, IMO, to have the kind of superiority complex that he has at this time (unlike FMJ).

[Side note: I realize that Kahn won a silver medal in the Olympics... Many fighters were outstanding amateurs and some were/are Olympic medal winners. However, I don't recall those fighters, at Kahns age, coming in to the Pros and acting the way he has so early off in their career.]

Probably the best post I have read on this website in quite some time.

Thank you for taking the to post something so well thought out, hate free, and factual.

My guess is nobody who is a Khan fan will bother reading it, but that's alright.

Agreed. Khan is on a different level now, and history will reflect that. If Corrie snaps his clubs and decides to like boxing again, do you think that Wlad's gonna forget all about Haye and go running to settle the score?

                      History will reflect that.....

                      Corrie > Wlad at golf

                      Wlad > Corrie at boxing

                      Khan > Prescott at both
