    JMM dont deserve 5 mill??

If that's what you think, you clearly swallow semen. JMM had the balls to fight Floyd, and has been knocking out his opponents prior to and post Floyd...how does the man that made Pac look ordinary not deserve 5 mill??

5 million really means he would only be getting 2.5 million and GBP would get the rest since Mr. Arum is refusing to co promote with Golden Boy.

He deserves every cent of it.

Pac fans just don't want him to get it, because they don't want Marquez to make him look elementary for the third time.

This isn't '04 or '08 and Manny's not a featherweight anymore. He had the power to KD Marquez 3x in the first round, 4x overall and has gotten exponentially better in the ring. People who think it would be a competitive match are stuck in the past. Plus...

Another aspiring Pacquiao opponent, Juan Manuel Marquez, proposed receiving a $5-million guarantee, while making $5 per pay-per-view buy above 500,000, for $8.5 million total if the fight generated 1.2 million buys.

            http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/spor...-tuesday-.html
^That's the demand coming from a guy who's last fight was on HBO after dark in front of 4,600 people aimed at a guy coming off a PPV that did 1.2+ mil and 40,000+ in a stadium. The replay of Pacquiao-Margarito outdid the live telecast of Marquez-Katsidis by 300,000 views.

**** outta here with that blatant pricing out

If Marquez was smart and really serious about fighting Pac in '011, he'd follow Mosley, drop GBP, offer to fight Clottey at 147 in the Spring and get a deal for Pac in the Summer or Fall.

Isn't $5 mil a big jump from the $1.4 mil he made against Katsidis? How much did he make against Floyd? Wasn't it $3mil plus $600K bribe to change 144 to 146?

Suddenly he deserves more against Pac?

Sad part is that they probably will give Shane 5 mill just because he left GBP, Arum is trying to get fighter to leave GBP just get a shot at Pac and Top Rank keeps all the cash.

I'm a boxing fan, not an accountant.

I don't care to get dragged into discussions of who's making how much, who did how many PPV buys, or who "deserves" more money.

I care about making good fights.

And if $5 million makes Pacquiao/Marquez III, then that's fine with me.

I think this sport would be better suited if there were more fans with that state of mind around.

pay JMM the $5 million and give him the shot at Pac
his family could use it after he perishes in the fight
why do people still think this is a competitive fight?
