Have a thought for genuine journeymen, who fight not to get injured so they can fight again 1 or 2 weeks later against prospects just so they can eat.

Thats gotta be a *****. They've probably already been told if u win we're not gonna use u again for a few months by the promoter

Whenever sparring, I always went in with the belief that no one could stop me. Although not always true, it helped me fight at my best.

I remeber feeling that way in a bout against Tarrick Salmaci back in the amatuer days. I didn't know who he was but i was told by my trainer that he was the defending national champion, and he was. This was my 6th bout ever and I just figured what the hell lets do it. There were nerves and butterflies but once it got rolling I was fine. Ended up losing a close decision.

One fight I took as a pro I knew that I wasn't prepared properly or at all for that matter. I had last fought about a year before and spent maybe 3 weeks in training for it. I just said F this man and went straight in for a brawl. I figured that there was no way that I would have the stamina so I just said **** it, it's either him or me but it's going to be quick. Lol, that night it ended up being me going down. No butterflies, no nerves. I knew what needed to be done and I went in there and tried to take him out. I got caught by what I was told was a left hook and it dropped me. I got up, although dazed pretty good and went straight back in throwing power. I got caught again and they stopped it. Me and my buddy just went next door after and enjoyed the Ho-Down and hit the bar after that.

Morale of the story, if you are properly prepared you can war with anybody. Not being properly prepared means that you've probably already handed the guy the bout before the bell even sounds........Rockin'

Yeah, I have one. I don't give my name out though. Too many internet tough guys, I don't take kindly to their massively inflated egos and unjust words. Just know I've been there and know what I'm talking about when it comes to boxing. I appreciate your understanding........Rockin'
