What must it be like entering a fight knowing you're not going to win?

I'm sure lots of fighters have entered bouts knowing they're not at their best/are overmatched/just there for a payday, etc.

Most bouts Roy Jones enters these days he's a legit underdog - weird to think about that.

I can't believe Manfredo genuinely thought he had even a hope in Hell in defeating The Slap Machine, certainly in a dish off, if nothing else.

But what must it feel like, going into a fight not expecting to win, maybe even expecting to be KO'd to pay the bills?

That's like some Carlos Baldomir ****.

Floyd, Pac, Cotto, Margarito, Bradley, Alexander, etc. never, ever think that way, or they wouldn't have gotten as far as they have.

I will go for broke and try to land as many as I can ala harakiri. In a battle, if soldiers think they are in deep **** and no way out, most soldiers will go down with gun blazing.

If you dont have the mentality that you will win, then you already lost before you even stepped into the ring

Yeah, it's a good job Cotto never thought he'd lose... otherwise he'd have been TKO'd by Margarito and Pacquaio, right?

When I fought several fights...for different reasons depending on the situation...I can honestly say I didnt feel like I was ready to win...sometimes I think I personally took it too far, thought too much, put too much pressure on myself...sabotaged my preparation with foolish mistakes beforehand, etc...and I bet many many many guys fought Roy Jones, Tyson and Trinidad and honestly wouldnt have bet on themselves...
