I have to admit though, I think he won that fight vs Pascal. However, I wouldn't go as far as calling it a robbery. To me the knockdowns were legit as well.

People are quick to call pretty much every fight a robbery. I had Hopkins winning the fight 114-112 but it was not a robbery. The knockdowns made the fight close.

i scored the knockdowns 10-8, although the rd1 kd was bs, it was behind the ear, i don't know anywhere where behind the ear is in the scoring area??? but it was official, so i scored it, and i scored it 10-8 because i was trying to be consistent to what i thought that the judges would be scoring, only to find out a judge gave the first round a 10-9 for pascal, which i wanted to do, because it wasn't really legit and he lost that round until that moment......
hopkins keeps his chin down, he doesn't take away the target area by bending down and out of the way, like mayweather did against hatton, like maliganggi used to do for his defense, and like many others that band and turn their heads, like green was doing all fight long against johnson. hopkins head was to the side and not bending down, that bending down bit came from the announcers who must not have even been looking at their monitor when they were speaking...... because they either lying or incompetent.........
but with the knockdowns being counted and giving pascal the 8th round ( i thought he was mounting a comeback, but didn't ), thats' 3 rounds, with the KD's thats 5 points or rounds if you will and the rest of the fight was hopkins.
and that leaves 7 points over 5, hopkins wins.
114-112 hopkins.........

it is more of a grey area. It can be deemed as such, but only can be ruled a foul if it was 100% the cause of the person throwing it. You have two guys swinging wildly and moving their heads back and forth and in and out. The ref does not get the luxury of a replay and has to make an ultra quick decision.
Hopkins went down from the momentum of the punch, the Ref's usually get the best view of the action and he may have thought the punch landed on the ear as Hopkins was moving in, then Hopkins own and Pascals combined momentum of moving in caused the punch to cuff him. Now the ref has to make this decision in about half a second. He made another call favoring Hopkins via a slip, and they can only do the best they can.
What I have noticed is a lot of "What Ifs" going on in here the past couple days with many either trying to discredit the Ref, Judges, Commission etc, when in reality the vast majority who watched the fight, knew the fight was close. Showtimes own crew also had it razor thin. The only controversy here is that Hopkins was a sentimental favorite for many and he did not get the W.
