Dawson should have it on lock but he's a mental midget.

James DeGale is the one. After he cleans up at 168, he will rise and take over. Its inevitable.

I disagree about the Orneles fight. That's a typical Hopkins night when not Tito-ing, or Tarver-izing or Pavliking a opponent.

Have you seen his fight against Keith Holmes? Almost no different than Orneles and he whooped Trinidad after that fight.

James DeGale might be a Flash in the pan, transitional champion but that's it.

          Lets not kid ourselves.

Dawson has the talent and ability, but he seems to have some of that Ortiz in him.......

Pascal is pretty amateurish and fights by flurring and then running, and his stamina is awful. the fact that he was running from a 45-46 year old is pretty sad. And its not like Hopkins has still looked good consistantly in his old age...his last fights against Jones and Ornelas he looked worse than ever. heck, Ornelas probably won more rounds against Hopkins than Pascal did(albeit no knockdowns).
lets not forget Pascal is a supermiddleweight flunkie either.

so who else is there? we have 168lb flunkie Brahmer, old man Jones, ducker Erdie, and Cloud and Dawson have been subpar recently.

who can be a real champ that can actually make light heavyweight decent again? Dustin Dirks is probably the best young 175 fighter I know of, and Cleverly isnt half bad either.
              what do you think>

Some good points. Invariably some of the 68 pounders will move up as they get a bit older and struggle to make 68. I see Froch, Bute (who prob already struggles) and Ward all moving to 75 within the next few years. If Bad Intentions ever decides to return, my guess is that it will be at 75. Throw in Dawson and Pascal and it doesn't look so bad.

His last fightn with Pascal was terrible. He should have smoked Pascal. Look at what he did to Adamek??

Dawson is already too inactive.....he needs to fight!!! He could rule 175 and dispose of any fighters moving up from 68.

                  Save it from what?

Pascal is solid fighter is just B-Hop is an ATG and people just don't understand how special of a fighter he is. Chad would have looked just as bad and how many fights do we need to see b4 we realize no one ever looks good against b-hop.

Outside of Floyd I have never seen a fighter more difficult to get off on than B-Hop so Pascal looking the way he did does not mean he is a bad fighter.

LHW is pretty solid and in a year or so it will be loaded when Ward, Dirrell, Bute, Froch and others move up.

That's just a flat out assumption not based on much at all. I would bet my house on Dawson beating Hopkins right now or any time in the last few years.

Pascal loss was an abberation.....he will prove it in the rematch!
