Number 3 is they were ****** or naive, I could see Manny or even just his surrounding team being ****** or naive with it but Arum and Top Rank know better, I would find that hard to believe they would play so loose with such a controversial issue that really has no winners and no easy way out.

The first part is an excuse, if any fighter you didn't like said something like that you would say they are ducking that guy.

Yes it could be a step in actually making the Mayweather fight, but still if it can be worked out now/a bit later on what why was this such a deal breaking issue. After it became a huge issue what happened was just a snowball rolling down a hill which took at least 7-8 months to stop (which included Floyd basically telling them to get fucked when they tried to make the fight later in the year), now after the Mosley fight and Floyd's legal issues are resolved they could possibly be at a point to work on it for real again.

And the sad part is Wilbon will praise the guy, the media will glorify him even more and every media outlet will sweep the real issue under the rug.

I don't have a problem really with them getting closer to making the fight, it just makes thing looks more questionable to me (in regards to did they really want that fight). IF they can finally make the fight cool, still a lot of people have said a lot of things about this fight to this point, most of those things look very off to me.

It's hypocritical because they were so adamant in their campaign for not taking part in testing proposed by their potential opponent before.

Fighter 1 wants fighter 2 to agree to [insert testing]. Fighter 2 rejects.

But now,

Fighter 2 wants fighter 3 to agree to [insert testing].

Again, How so (read the whole post) if you don't know what kind of testing they're talking about?
