Pac is an ego maniac, you can't take that for granted. He was ready to walk away from the Oscar and Hatton fight if he didn't get what he wanted. And, that was against Arum wishes.

Yes it could be a step in actually making the Mayweather fight, but still if it can be worked out now/a bit later on what why was this such a deal breaking issue. After it became a huge issue what happened was just a snowball rolling down a hill which took at least 7-8 months to stop (which included Floyd basically telling them to get fucked when they tried to make the fight later in the year), now after the Mosley fight and Floyd's legal issues are resolved they could possibly be at a point to work on it for real again.

It's hypocritical because they were so adamant in their campaign for not taking part in testing proposed by their potential opponent before.
