Honestly, that was one of my favourite individual performances of all time. I nearly had tears my eyes from seeing this (nearly) 46 year old fight go into a champions back yard, get knocked down twice in front of a hostile crowd, and come back and school the **** out of Pascal. And then getting robbed.

That's probably the last great performance we'll see from BHop.

You might say Pascal ain't that good (I disagree - he fought the wrong fight) but still, he's a fighter who has great athletic gifts, and yet Hopkins still did what he did. It's one of those performances you have to view contextually.

    Stunning.
    Totally agreed.

People may dislike the guy out of the ring and for some of his tactics in his previous fights. In fact, I've rooted against him far more than I've rooted for him. But for anyone watching that fight last night, if B-Hop didn't earn at least some of your respect for his abilities in the ring, you're obviously not a boxing fan at all. Or just plain ******ed.

I love the fact that the forum's overall view has changed from this performance. I see nothing but praise for the old man.

Just two weeks ago, it was me and a handful of other Team Hopkins hardcore's that were reppin X. Now I can barely detect thost people that wanted him to get Ko'd and sent into retirement.

      Awesome.
People that were *****ing on Hopkins are mostly new or casual boxing fans that don't really know and understand the sport yet. When people tell me that Hopkins is boring and doing anti-boxing, I'm always saying the same thing : The day you'll know enough about boxing to see every little details that Hopkins do in the ring, you'll not fing him boring.

Also, Hopkins bodypunches made him won the fight, believe me Pascal wasn't the same when B-Hop began to land his bodypunches.

I Completely agree with everything being said, to put on a performance like that at his age is simply astounding! Something needs to change in boxing with how judges are appointed to fights because too often nowadays the home fighter is gettin results that they didnt really deserve. All i can think is to have totally unbiased judges appointed just like officials in international football matches e.g 3 european judges for fights like pascal-hopkins

I'm not so sure about that. Let's not get too carried away here. Even boxing writers who are boxing fans all their life get put to sleep by some of B-Hop's performances. Always effective yes. Not always entertaining.

            He was both last night.

But yes I 100% agree that his dedication to body shots enabled him to do so much more in the fight. He's pretty much always the smarter fighter in the ring.

X has said it before so many times. He needs those haters, those naysayers. He needs people to tell him he can't do something, it brings out the best in him.

So many people in the media and boxing world were critizing him for even taking this fight in the first place.

                **** ****!

There are still a couple of shameless "boxing fans" who are happy with the robbery and actually condone robberies in boxing.

That performance makes me want to listen to a Mannish Boy or some James Brown. I'm not too sure why.
