How highly do you rate Hopkins performance last night?

All the robbery talk is taking away from the fact that we saw an incredible performance last night from Hopkins.

Honestly, that was one of my favourite individual performances of all time. I nearly had tears my eyes from seeing this (nearly) 46 year old fight go into a champions back yard, get knocked down twice in front of a hostile crowd, and come back and school the **** out of Pascal. And then getting robbed.

That's probably the last great performance we'll see from BHop.

You might say Pascal ain't that good (I disagree - he fought the wrong fight) but still, he's a fighter who has great athletic gifts, and yet Hopkins still did what he did. It's one of those performances you have to view contextually.

    Stunning.

I've been waiting for a thread like this.

Completely agree with everything you said. It was an incredible performance. Down twice but still stuck to his task and won it by a point or two if you ask me. Unbelievable mental strength.

His legend will grow and grow once he's retired.

Surprised me. I thought Pascal was going to win going in to the fight. And after the 2nd KD, I thought Hopkins was eventually going to be stopped. Hopkins turned it around and won every round after that.

It was a fantastic performance by Hopkins after coming through the nitty gritty at the start. Hopkins couldn't seem to deal with the speed of Pascal at the start, the knockdowns reflected that. I was hesitant after the third round for Hopkins, this was suppose to be his night, I thought maybe at his age he was out of his depth at this point (how wrong was I). Hopkins proved me wrong, he put on a display to remember, Pascal had no answer to it.
