So does this make Joe Calzaghe's win over Hopkins look even better?

calling someone who was low blowed a cheater. a very strange position to take. usually the guy doing the low blowing is the cheater but when it's calzaghe things suddenly change. this is how you can tell a true fan from some gimmick clown.Comment

no one cheated in the fight. they were both dirty at times so bin your holier than though shi-t. calzaghe low blowed him and hopkins milked it for all it's worth. why be mad at hopkins for being smart? be mad at calzaghe for low blowing him and showboating if anything. a true fan wouldn't defend low blowing a guy but a true nuthugger will defend his man no matter what he does.Comment

3 good shots to 1? what are you seeing because it's just not there. he landed that right hand with no leverage and that is it. hopkins landed 2 straight right hands with full leverage. look at their body positions. hopkins is getting full power in his punches when he throws calzaghe is off balance. that body shot was a tiny tap and it didn't hurt in the slightest. they were already hugging at that point. how could he be hugging to recover before the body shot even lands makes no sense. hopkins landed a couple of his own taps to the body right after that anyway so if you are counting those hopkins landed more but those don't count for much. in this exchange the meaningful punches were hopkins landed 2 right hands with full leverage and calzaghe landed 1 punch while off balance. thus he got the better of it. it doesn't mean calzaghe didn't land anything.
you have to be unbiased here. if you think a little tap to the side of the body in the clinch is a debilitating body shot then you probably aren't going in the right direction.
Calzaghe starts the exchange with a right to Hopkins Jaw. Before that they are studying each other, but Calzaghe sees a gap and exploits it. That is good effective work.
Just becuse Hopkins lands it does not mean it is effective. It is only effective if it gets a reaction from Cazlaghe and more importantly stops Calzaghe fighting his fight. It is clear to see that Calzaghe gets better in the second half fight as Hopkins' shots have little effect on him.
Anyway early in RD 6 the video claims Hopkins' lands a 3 punch combination. How on earth can that be described as a sigificant 3 punch combination? A desparate attempt to brainwash people.Comment

we need a thread recap.
i post videos that show the entire fight and how hopkins clearly won enough rounds to win the fight but they are ignored and called "highlight videos" even though it's the entire fight just with everything in slo-mo
i try to figure out how someone could score the fight for calzaghe but i'm met with a barrage of platitudes such as "he outworked hopkins", "hopkins faked low blows", "well lederman had it for hopkins"
what do these things have to do with judging a fight? obviously nothing. we all know fights are scored on the 4 criteria but when you have no leg to stand on you will resort to comical talking points.
i'm trying to find in the rules where it says if you take time for a low blow you lose and i just can't find it. i'm trying to find in the rules where it says if you throw more punches than your opponent you automatically win and i just can't find it. i keep finding silly things like clean punching, defense, effective aggression. i don't know what this bullshi-t is. how can i tell who's winning based on these things! the guy who wins should be the guy coming forward trying really hard! we need new rules!Comment
